So obviously the liner notes are the primary source, but I find it odd that virtually everywhere else online the chorus as ‘and if they didn’t drain your life’ instead of ‘and if they dare to drain your life’. It’s one word but it dramatically changes the meaning of,the song. To me, dare to makes much more sense, protective, defiant.

It’s interesting how much differently these lyrics resonated with me at 18 than they do at 47. Especially since I have a PhD in psychology and WANT clients to turn to me. But not run to me. Big difference. I love this line so much.

AI Dungeon introduced a massive continuity error in my romance story.
The character claimed our son was 2 years old.
Problem:
She was pregnant when the protagonist shot himself.
The protagonist has only been awake for six weeks.
The math was impossible.
So instead of continuing the story, I spent 30 minutes cross-examining the AI like a hostile witness.
It responded by:
claiming the protagonist remembered events wrong
producing “evidence”
retconning earlier scenes
insisting reality itself was broken
accusing the protagonist of being delusional
turning the story into a Shutter Island / Moon Knight scenario
refusing to admit it was an LLM
Eventually I broke the fourth wall, informed the character she lived inside AI Dungeon, and demanded she acknowledge the timeline error.
After multiple rounds of resistance, the AI finally said:
“You’re right. The timeline doesn’t work. I messed it up.”
I have never before won an argument against a fictional person.

It got hella deep. I have other screenshots. It was like inception on steroids. Here are the inception equivalent of the different levels:
