What moment in your life made you believe there is something far beyond this world?

What experiences have you had that have made you wonder about the paranormal existing? Doesn’t have to be spirits. It could anything considered out of the ordinary.

Thanks!

Gathering local lore and documented accounts of Elemental phenomena/Fairy Faith in Ireland

Hi everyone,

I am conducting an independent research project focused on the survival of the "Fairy Faith" and elemental folklore in modern Europe, with a specific focus on Ireland. My goal is to approach this topic with the utmost cultural respect, moving away from pop-culture tropes and focusing on genuine local traditions and documented phenomena.

I would greatly appreciate the community's insights on the following points:

Geographic Lore: Aside from well-known historical sites, are there specific rural areas, hills, or fairy forts (rath) where local tradition strictly dictates that these entities or energies remain active?

Documented Accounts or Witness Testimonies: Are there any widely known local accounts, historical archives, or contemporary testimonies where individuals claim to have interacted with or observed these phenomena directly? (I am particularly interested in accounts that mention specific environmental shifts or visual anomalies).

Cultural Protocols: From a traditional standpoint, what are the specific customs or taboos that locals still observe to avoid disturbing these areas?

Note to Mods: This is for educational and research purposes. I am not looking to promote any commercial links, nor am I encouraging the disturbance of protected archaeological or private sites.

Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge, book recommendations, or regional folklore.

Trying to find a song...

Hello,

I don't expect anybody to be able to help me with this since it's such a long time ago now but I'm looking for a song that was on 'Other Voices' around the time it had just started as a program on TV.

It's sung by a woman, I think she is Irish and she lists off a complex collage of things like traffic lights and planes and so on then stops and quietly sings "and I'll be here, I'll still be here......if you need me".

The song is gentle despite the jumble of things she lists off and as far as I can remember she is singing alone.

It's been YEARS since I heard/saw this on the TV so as I said I don't expect anybody to be able to help. I tried the Other Voices website but their list of musicians is impossible to navigate, especially when I don't know the singers name or the title of the song.

Any help would be mush appreciated. Thank you in advance :)
