Hi! We are coming in a couple weeks and need a hotel for 2 nights, and I would appreciate your input an upscale hotel directly on the beach with awesome pool area and drinks, worthy of celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and retirement. Currently have booked the Holiday Inn Resort but some reviews are negative about older rooms.

I’m also wanting to plan a half day private boating experience…. Sightseeing, shelling, fishing or just chatting with a knowledgeable boat captain. A lovely lunch picnic onboard with wine would be ideal.

Suggestions for unique dinner would also be appreciated!

Hi… the previous thread on this topic is a year old… so asking for recommendations now please: Looking for two nights in late August with beach front location and awesome pool. No kiddos, just the two of us.
