Does anyone have a good genealogist recommendation? I’ve been searching, but most people/companies offer more of a full service package. I’m capable of doing the work and just need someone to physically locate a 1901 birth record in Slatina. I’ve located all other documents!

ETA: I have contacted the Osijek archives with no luck. I’ve also contacted the diocese, but have not heard back in a few months, and the central archive did not have the record.

I’ve been trying to track down my great grandfather’s birth record with no luck. According to his family’s naturalization records, which are corroborated by location of his parents marriage record and the birth records of two siblings, he was born in Slatina in 1901. Unfortunately, going back another generation is not helpful, as his mother was born a few km into Hungary, and I cannot decode his father’s birthplace to determine if he was born in Croatia, although he identified as Croatian on his ship manifest. The family lived in the Virovitica area.

I’ve combed through every microfilm and reached out to the parishes, local and Zagreb archives, and the local civil registry offices. The record appears to be lost.

Based on the U.S. naturalization record and located Croatian family records, I believe it makes sense to pursue a court order for birth registration. Has anyone gone down this path?

This is probably a dumb question, but I sent in one last document via the webform today. In the note, I clearly specified that the document applies to all applications in our packet and provided application numbers, UI numbers, names, and DOB. Do I need to upload the file separately to each application?

The only three options for upload are principal applicant, representative, or on behalf of someone, and the latter two require an IMM form which I did not include in our applications, as the additional applicants are my minor children.
