[Jojo's Bizzare Adventure] How does the [Spin] work?

Like what does it mean to "rotate someing within the Golden Ratio"? How does Gyro make his [Steel Balls] spin when it looks like he isn't moving his fingers? I know a Steel Ball produces vibrations, so does it cause torsional resonance to do it's effects or what? Why is visualizing the Golden Ratio important, since your body supposedly fits into that ratio already (see this pic for an example: https://jojowiki.com/File:Gyro\_super\_spin\_explanation.png) And why does a horse running help make your Spin better?

WRONG!

Main claims vs. facts

**1. "$50k grant funded trans research/surgeries"**

**False.** The $50,000 grant from Epstein to Ting was requested and given in **2013** for **breast cancer research** (studying the tumor microenvironment and post-surgical wound fluid's role in metastasis). A 2016 paper credited Epstein's foundation. Ting's May 14, 2016 email thanks Epstein for that *earlier* cancer grant having "borne fruit" (paper submitted) and *separately* mentions his new role directing Mount Sinai's transgender surgery program.

No documents show Epstein funding trans-specific research, the Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery (CTMS, launched 2016), or any pediatric/adolescent gender care. Mount Sinai received broader donations from Epstein/Eva Dubin-linked sources (hundreds of thousands total, often to breast cancer initiatives), but these were not earmarked for trans work.

**2. Timeline implying Epstein funded the "first" trans surgeries**

**Misleading.** Mount Sinai's first vaginoplasty (male-to-female gender-affirming) under Ting occurred in March 2016 as part of the new CTMS launch—the first comprehensive program in NYC, enabled by 2015 insurance mandate changes. Ting's trans role began around then; the 2013 grant predates it by years. The video conflates the cancer grant with trans work.

**3. Epstein "funded trans experimentation" / "pro transing children"**

**No supporting evidence.** Ting pitched Epstein on a documentary (*Born to Be*, 2019) about the center; there's no confirmation of funding. Epstein had creepy correspondences (including the gross Trivers email fantasizing about early intervention and sexualizing trans people), but this reflects opportunistic networking and pseudoscientific curiosity, not operational funding of a "transing children" program. Pediatric services expanded later; no Epstein link to youth medicalization is documented.

**4. Broader conspiracy ("this is what drives it," Epstein behind the movement)**

Overstated. Trans medicine has roots decades earlier (e.g., Harry Benjamin, European clinics in the mid-20th century, WPATH precursors). Modern U.S. expansion involved activism, insurance reforms, medical societies, and cultural shifts—not a secret Epstein cabal. Epstein cultivated elite scientists/doctors broadly for image and access; creepy emails exist, but they don't prove causation for an entire field.

### Context on the figures

- **Ting**: Treated adult Epstein associates professionally pre- and around his trans pivot. Visited the island (with family) in 2013. No evidence of him abusing minors or committing crimes. Mount Sinai later reviewed Epstein ties.

- **Trivers**: Fringe evolutionary biologist who received Epstein money. His 2018 email is crude and speculative; it doesn't represent trans medicine policy or mainstream advocacy.

- Epstein was a predator who networked with powerful people and showed interest in eugenics/transhumanist ideas. His associations are sleazy but don't rewrite the independent history of gender medicine.

Transgender medicine, identities, and activism have a documented history decades before Epstein's major crimes or donations:

  • 1910s–1930s: Magnus Hirschfeld (German physician) coined terms like "transvestite," founded the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft (1919), and his team performed early gender-affirming surgeries (e.g., Dora Richter in 1931).
  • 1950s: Christine Jorgensen's publicized male-to-female surgery (1952) brought widespread attention. Harry Benjamin pioneered treatments and published The Transsexual Phenomenon (1966).
  • 1960s: Johns Hopkins opened one of the first U.S. gender clinics (1966).
  • Activism, terminology ("transsexual," later "transgender"), and clinical practices evolved through the 20th century via researchers, patients, and advocates—independent of Epstein

Notice how they don't seem to care about the quality of the gameplay

Didn't they say that gameplay is what matters? Can they explain how Anita hurts the gameplay of Slay the Spire 2?
