A little motivation for beginners

Hi all. I started playing recently after losing my mother to cancer and chess helps me from spiraling into an abyss. As a beginner, it is a very humbling experience. People who are at higher Elo:
- when did you start playing?
- what was your ELO then, what is it now?
- what did you do to improve your games and score?

This made my day

I live in Nashville, Tennessee. Our HOA introduced a new law this year against street parking. We even got a legal notice because our babysitter parked her car on the street a few times. Apparently they put up sign and someone took them all out. Reading this made my day.
