No Hindi Cambridge/CBSE curriculum schools in Bhubaneswar

Though I’ve decided to move from Hyderabad to Bhubaneswar, I’m struggling to find a genuinely good Cambridge curriculum English-medium school for my child.

I know people will say there are plenty of CBSE and international schools, but many feel “international” only in branding. I’m specifically looking for a school where teachers, counsellors, and students are comfortable communicating in English as the primary language, with a genuinely global and progressive learning environment.

I’m not against any language, but I don’t want an environment where Hindi is treated as the default marker of education or sophistication. I want my child to grow up in a multicultural, English-speaking academic atmosphere similar to what metro-city international schools offer.

Would really appreciate honest recommendations from parents who’ve actually experienced schools in Bhubaneswar.

Moving to Bhubaneswar from Hyderabad

I am an Odia, but I have never actually lived in Odisha for most of my life. For the last 16 years, I have been staying outside the state, and currently I’m based in Hyderabad.

Now I have an opportunity to move back to my home state, possibly to Bhubaneswar, but honestly I have mixed feelings and a lot of doubts.

I keep wondering:

- Will I be able to adjust after living in metro cities for so long?

- Has Bhubaneswar changed enough in terms of lifestyle, opportunities, and mindset?

- Will I feel disconnected from Odisha and its people?

- Did anyone else here return to Odisha after spending many years outside?

Would really love to hear experiences from people who went through something similar — both the positives and the challenges. Did moving back feel like coming home, or did it take a lot of adjustment?

ଏତେ ଦିନ ପରେ ସବୁ ସତ କହିଲେ | Odia Actor Kuna Tripathy Interview With Manas Dash | News18 Odia Podcast

First time ever I enjoyed an Odia podcast, a few days back one simp in this sub was advocating how hinthi is better than Odia, most of Odia people are not learned and have huge inferiority complex, I am waiting for that day when Odia people will become like South India and start respecting their own language

Mantra Muugdha BO

As I have said earlier it took day 9 for a good Odia movie to get its highest day collection, our films are completely word of mouth driven, if good it grows with time.

People may not be aware of the dynamics of the Odia film business, it's not like the south industry which is front loaded, even shit movies assure certain business as the weekend per sales but by then people realise the quality of the movie it makes peanut business from Monday onwards. While Odia is completely opposite it starts slow and plays a test match, the excitement, show numbers and business grows with the time and word of mouth, ofcourse the movie should be good. #MM is good and accepted by the audience it's a given it will run in theatres for more than 60 days, the second weekend will be bigger than the 1st weekend.
