For how questionable some writing choices were, Troy Baker’s performance as Jason/the knight was amazing

Especially in this scene, if you go back and rewatch it, so much emotion is layered into the voice and everything. I just found it really compelling despite some writing choices. Idk what did you guys think of the performance. I don’t think ALL of the writing choices around the knight were bad, just some. But I think above all else the highlight it the performance

I think I might have actually preferred if they kept jason as the knight

It would have been different, but they have already taken several liberties with jason’s backstory and going directly to the red hood, while it still had good moments, was jarring considering how many terrorist acts jason commits as the knight. That and also The arkham knight character design and characterization was kind of peak up until that switch. What do you guys think?

This is my favorite game in the series overall, I just think the concept of the Knight is very interesting in general. I’d say the best solution regardless would have been to make the Arkham Knight a separate character, but if they had to slide Jason in I would have preferred if they fully committed.

Which style of gotham do you prefer? Gothic or cyberpunk-ish

Everybody i have asked has been pretty divided on this. Personally, I am always partial to the cyber look. the gothic look is always awesome but the coloration and energy of depictions of Gotham like this typically wins me over. what do you guys think?

For how awful this design was, I think they got the characterization of bane pretty good in this show

Granted, he only appeared in 1 episode. And it technically wasn’t even the real bane since it was a dream sequence but presumably Barbara knows how the real bane would talk and act. Its such a shame he only appeared in 2 episodes total across both TNBA and BTAS because it seemed like they got his character down. They just didn’t adapt his backstory at all, which is strange because it feels like something that would fit right in in the show.

I am aware that some of the creators weren’t that fond of bane in general. It’s just a pretty big wasted opportunity in my opinion. At the very least they didn’t make him mindless muscle and made him quite intelligent and well spoken, which is an example of them giving him good characterization. What did yall think of the DCAU version

Favorite character who is a take on an already preexisting character?

Absolute bane is essentially everything I love about the original character of bane distilled. the design is also peak.

Can someone please tell me why this garbage cw show has one of my all time favorite Two Face designs?

(from the show Gotham Knights btw) the show is trash and isn’t talked about much, but the design is genuinely so fire I wish it was in a better project. The way he looks like he is dead with one of the eyes positioned rolled back is peak designing. The show itself is bad. Its not irrideemable, and some of the acting even from this version of Two-Face, is actually pretty good. Its the core premise of the show that i think sucks. That and the script is a modern CW script, nothing more needs to be said on the quality other than that

Just realized Jokers last words in the DCAU and his last words in the arkhamverse are opposites of each other

“That‘s not funny” and “That actually is… pretty funny!”

both are obviously iconic because of Mark Hamill’s delivery, and I am pretty sure this was coincidental. I just thought it was neat

New suit kicks ass.

I am actually usually a pretty big fan of the armored batsuits, but also i have always prefered very blue centered color schemes. This might be one of the most colorful modern batsuits. Blue designs just always give of a modern feel compared to the designs that combine all three main colors. What do you guys think

I know there is a lot of things that are different and omitted in this version, but Ive still always liked TDK Two-face

I should really dislike it. One of the main things that defines two face as a character, his split personality, is much more subtle and toned down (it is still there, it is just never explicitly stated and you have to pay attention on rewatch). But idk I just really like this version. it does a great job at portraying dent as a likeable but not perfect figure.

And he is genuinely sort of unsettling whenever he is on screen as Two-face, at least to me. Even on rewatch the normal scenes with just Harvey kind of creep me out knowing what is to come. There has been a lot of criticism, a lot of which is largely fair. What do you guys think of this version?

You are in Gotham and you can only pick ONE of these batmen to be the guardian, who you picking? (Robin, Batgirl and Alfred all sold separately)

Forgot how I came up with this idea but it is sitting in the back of my mind. This can be about personal preference just as much as practicality.

The choices are: The Batman 2004 Baleman (Nolan batman) BTAS Batman Keaton Batman The Batman (2022) Batfleck

it may seem uneven considering that some like Nolan batman are in a much more grounded universe compared to the others, but you also have to remember that that version also literally stopped a nuke from Gotham and somehow survived. Both animated batmen are roughly balanced. 2004 is the better engineer/scientist, the strongest fighter (physically strongest batman on the list in general) and is still a good detective while BTAS has more experience and is the overall better detective

Which of these three “brutal” batmen would win?

Just a question I got into a light debate over and thought it was interesting. All of these are extremely brutal fighters, with all of them pushing the no kill rule. Batfleck nust straight up abandoned it, and whether or not Miller batman follows it is debated. Absolute batman has the no kill rule but is probably the overall most brutal and torturous in terms of injury. Just thought this was a fitting matchup, what do you guys think?

Favorite Ultimate spidey (1610) design?

over the run, his design changed alot depending on artist. I personally prefer the original in #1 because of the high contrast vibrancy but what do you guys think?
