Applied for an online job, waited months for an update, wondering if this is the norm or not?

I just wanna ask for the insight of other people since I'm honestly a bit confused about this whole thing.

So me and a close friend of mine tried for a VA role. My friend knew someone working under a VA company so we applied there and trained under my friends friend.

We spent a few weeks under their training program, the training was just a bunch of seminars which really wasn't that bad, but then after that we didn't really get any real news on when we would actually get to start.

The person who was in charge of our training kept saying that they'd try to get us to start as soon as possible but about 3 months have gone by and we still did not get to begin working.

At some point i began to question whether we really were gonna get the job and i told my friend how i felt which they then told their friend who we trained under.

My friend said they got mad at my remark which led to us not landing the job, which is honestly whatever because halfway through us waiting for a real update I was already really doubtful abt the whole thing.

But now I'm wondering was it actually right for me to question having to wait that long or should I have just been more patient?

I know nothing about the VA world and how VA companies work so I'm hoping to get answers from people who work in this industry

Dropped the manga in 2021, is it worth catching up?

I dropped the manga after around late 2021, and cuz life got busy I never got back to reading it.

Back then this manga was bang as hell and i really wanna get back to reading it but im hesitant cuz I havent had any info abt this series in a LONG time.

So idk if the recent story and everything holds up as good as how i remember the earlier chapters, what do you guys think?
