Zagreb Airport to City Centre: cheapest and easiest option for a family of 3 with luggage?

Hi guys.. will be having a trip to Croatia and we will be arriving at Zagreb Airport just after noon time. We're staying near Trg bana Josipa Jelačića.

What would you recommend as the cheapest and easiest way to get from the airport to our accommodation?

I see there is an airport shuttle and ZET bus 290. Which option would you recommend for 3 people with luggage?

Any other option you would recommend?

Thanks!

Visiting Zagreb in late October - need advice

Hi everyone! I’m considering visiting Zagreb for 4 nights in the last week of October and would love some advice from locals / people who have visited around that time.

Is late October generally a good time to visit Zagreb? I don’t mind cooler weather or some rain, but I’m wondering what the atmosphere is like and whether there’s still enough to do/see.

My rough plan would be:

  • 1.5 full days in Zagreb
  • 1 day trip to Bled + Ljubljana (Wanted to visit Slovenia as well and thought is a good chance)
  • 1 day trip to Plitvice Lakes + Rastoke

Both day trips look really nice, but they’re fairly expensive as organised tours, so I’m wondering if they’re actually worth it or if I’d be better off spending more time in Zagreb.

A few specific questions:

  1. Would you recommend Bled + Ljubljana as a day trip from Zagreb, or is that too rushed?
  2. Would you recommend Plitvice Lakes + Rastoke in late October? Is the scenery still worth it at that time of year?
  3. Does anyone know if Plitvice Lakes entrance tickets become significantly cheaper in late October / during the autumn season?
  4. With only 4 nights, would you personally do both day trips, or would you skip one and spend more time exploring Zagreb?
  5. Is there anything particularly nice to do in Zagreb or nearby in late October that I might be overlooking?

I’m mainly interested in beautiful scenery, walking around, local food/drinks and getting a feel for the places rather than nightlife.

Thanks in advance! 🙂

Crafters: How do you utilize your Focus when you don't have enough materials?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice from other crafters mainly, especially people who have been doing this long-term.

I currently have 100 spec in every dagger crafting node, and I also have max refining spec for hide and ore from T4–T6, with very high spec in T7 as well.

The problem I'm running into is that I feel like a lot of my Focus is going to waste.

I don't have enough materials available at all times to consistently use my daily Focus on refining/crafting. If I stockpile enough materials to keep crafting daggers, I eventually end up with a huge amount of daggers that I then have to sell.

So I'm wondering:

How do experienced crafters actually utilize their Focus efficiently?

Do you simply accept that you need to spend a significant amount of your playtime gathering/buying materials so you can keep up with Focus regeneration?

Or do you have other methods focus-sink that you switch to when you don't have enough materials for your main profession?

I'm mainly interested in hearing from people who have been crafting for a while. I'm not necessarily looking for the "most profitable Focus activity" in general. I'm more interested in how you manage the logistics/volume problem of having 10k Focus regenerate every day when your main crafting/refining activity can't consume it fast enough.

Any advice or examples of how you structure your crafting/refining routine would be appreciated!
