Pax complaint - should I be worried?

Got my first passenger complaint today lol and I’m probably overthinking it 😭

Basically, a high-tier frequent flyer complained that I was on my phone ( I was literally checking the code we get to sign in for some things on the portal of the company) it was super dead(, was rude to him, and didn’t acknowledge his status. I remember exactly who it was because the interaction was a little weird. I asked for his final destination and what he told me didn’t match what I was seeing in the system, so I asked a couple questions just to make sure his bag was going to the right place. He seemed annoyed even though I was genuinely just trying to help. He complained because he is being petty.

My manager talked to me about it today. The conversation was pretty chill, I didn’t have to sign anything, and she basically just reminded me to step away from the counter if I need to check my phone. She did say she was going to document the conversation in my Journey/profile though.
For other gate agents, is this pretty normal when you get a passenger complaint? Should I be worried about it being documented or am I just overthinking it? 😅

Rude FA’S?

I don’t know if anyone else who works at the airport has noticed this, but sometimes I’m genuinely shocked by how unfriendly some flight attendants can be toward other employees.

I work at the airport as a gate agent / ticket counter, and there have been so many times when FAs walk by, they will even ask for directions without even saying “GOOD MORNING”, I say hi or good morning, and they just completely ignore me and keep walking. And apparently it’s not just me because a lot of my coworkers have mentioned the exact same thing.

Obviously this is NOT all flight attendants. I’ve met plenty who are super friendly and nice. And I totally understand that people have bad days, are exhausted, have been working a long trip, dealing with passengers all day, commuting, etc. I don’t expect anyone to stop and have a whole conversation with me lol.

But I feel like acknowledging someone who says hello to you is just basic courtesy, especially when we literally work for the same company. Even just a quick “hey” or a smile is enough. Maybe I notice it more because I always try to acknowledge other employees when I’m walking through the airport, regardless of their position. Gate agents, ramp agents, cleaners, flight attendants, pilots… we’re all there doing our jobs and contributing to the same operation.
I’m genuinely curious if other airport employees notice this too, or if I’m just overthinking it.

Condoms?

Does anyone else find it surprising how many people on apps seem completely against condoms nowadays just because they’re on PREP?

I’ve had guys lose interest or block me as soon as I mention wanting to use one. I’m on PrEP, but I still prefer condoms because of the risk of other STIs, and that’s not something I’m willing to compromise on.

Just curious if others have had similar experiences.
