Paradigm Esprit v3

Like so many others, I am a newbie in the process of cobbling together a home system.

I can buy a pair of Paradigm Esprit v3 for a decent (to me) price, bearing in mind that my local market is limited and we get rinsed on prices for everything. The Esprit line seems to get mixed opinions. Is it to be avoided or are there some redeeming qualities?

Mainly looking at 2.1 for now for the purposes of music and video. I may upgrade to surround at some point.

New Zealand winter run

M3 and C63 around the South Island of New Zealand. We had to take it easy because of the icy conditions. The M3 managed it really well. I would recommend this route to anyone in the area. I

Recently I ignored the fuel price crisis and took the E93 M3 on a scenic drive. It's been 9 months of ownership and 8000km and it only get better.

As a sidd note - this was my first decent drive after I replaced the Pilot Super Sports that were on the car (good tread life left but getting up there in age) with Pilot Sport 4S. The improvement in grip and ride comfort was astonishing. They do feel a little less responsive on turn in though but inspire a bit more confidence in how the progress into understeer and oversteer.

Note to mods: the audio set up (and OEM exhaust mod) makes the car sound like it is going fast, when it is not. No reckless driving here 🙂
