I spent the last 6 months reviewing Steering Feel. Here are my findings:

Spent a year in a G87 M2 driving quickly down backlanes before I realised steering feel is paramount to enjoying a car. I then went on a tear driving everything I could get my hands on to figure out what's actually good for spirited driving.

Each car has a full review and a score for both Spirited/Normal driving.

Would love to hear if there's any score that surprise you and any cars you'd like to see added.

Too many cops on the local racetrack, decided to go to the local autocross course instead.

Compared to the high speed road I usually drive, this narrow twisty road exploits my car's greatest weakness - quick transitions.

Yeah yeah I know your s2000/miata/F1 car/etc will wipe the floor with my car on this road.

Still good fun and practice though, threading the needle through a lane about as wide as my track width.

Underrated Appalachian Road

For anyone nearby I highly recommend Highway 160 from Lynch, Ky to Big Stone Gap, Va. Many people in this sub are on the west coast I’ve noticed so I figured some of the east coast people may be interested. It’s around 25, miles with 200+ curves and a TON of elevation change. You’re climbing and descending Black Mountain which is the highest point in Kentucky.

There is a gift shop in Lynch Ky and there is not too much traffic on this route. In my GR most of it was 3rd gear with downshifts to 2nd in curves. A ton of switchback curves, hairpins, chicanes etc. No rumble strips and amazing views along the way. 55mph speed limit the whole way.

You’re also going to be close by to other great roads such as Highway 421. Only thing I will tell you to look out for is black bears in the road. This area is absolutely packed with them so your chances of seeing one are high. I saw two during one pass.

hard moutain driving brake pads

photos for attention**

civic si coupe 2019

I drive pretty hard, it doesn't feel like i brake hard but i do carry alot of speed and after every mountain run my brakes are smoking

i got hawk street performance pads maybe 3 months ago, i now heel toe at lights, and slow down early because they are COOKED

recommendations for streetable track pads or pads that last longer under abuse? i dont really care much about dust or squealing but i don't want to sound like a freight train either lol..

the hawk pads also felt like ass, right now the pedal is really soft, I'm gonna get brake lines but i know there are pads that feel better

i looked online for about an hour on reddit and forums, couldn't find a good answer, ANY insight is appreciated 🙏🙏
