Safe to drive?

I have a 2007 Highlander with 175k miles. Recently got oil changed (at Walmart). It has a new battery due to intermittent issues with the battery during winter the previous two years. I haven’t put many miles on it since I got it 7 years ago from my in-laws.

We’re moving 1,600 miles away and kinda need both of our cars for the drive due to cats and kids. This 3-day drive starts out going over mountain passes and then through windy plains on the last day.

How can I get my car ready? Would it be safe to try it? If you suggest a mechanic, please advise me on what they should check.

I appreciate your time,

-an anxious mom

Idaho to Wisconsin with so much stuff

Hello, first time posting and I’m trying to get some real advice from experienced people.

We have a 2bd/1ba lightly furnished, but we have so much stuff (even after I’ve decluttered as much as I can). I’m thinking of doing Upack due to the comments I’ve seen on here. Possibly 3 cubes or the trailer option. My husband would like PODS for their accessible storage because we might not have a place to live right away.

Problems:
-We’re in a triplex surrounded by apartment buildings and no real space for things to be dropped off here
- Husband doesn’t like the idea of our stuff being shipped with other things (trailer). Probably doesn’t like that our things will be going to other locations

Any recommendations/suggestions for this move?

I’ve so many other questions since this is my first cross country move with any furniture and with a family.

Safe food gone

So, this past year I discovered that Amylu andouille sausages don’t have nitrates, nitrites, celery powder, or cherry stuff. Huge win for migraine sufferers that are triggered by nitrates! I made them a twice a week staple and bought two packages at a time because my family loved them too.

Now I can’t find them anywhere and it’s been weeks.

So, I’m asking yall: do you have any brand suggestions? I’m specifically looking for andouille chicken sausage. It’s the perfect combo of spicy flavors, lower calories, and deliciousness that won’t trigger a migraine.
