Friendly reminder on armor caps.

Technically you'd need even more without any armor, but without some serious exploitation I doubt you'd get that high, even with Carius' armor (considered robes), amulet of articulation, diadem of the savant, and mage armor.

Edit: Looks like most enemies never get the third rank of the perks, so 1,134 (1,134 - 50% = 567) armor would be enough for pretty much every situation. You'd also still have 283-284 armor rating (no shield) if you did run across an enemy with three ranks in bone breaker/skull crusher.

Obscure lore about the Skyforge.

What happens if you try to cross the bridge without fighting him? Lightning bolts, and what does the Skyforge reportedly do, adds lightning damage to some rare weapons created when it is "awakened".

Calcelmo doesn't know.

Seems weird that he knows when you buy any Dwemer item, but forgets he only gave one person access to the museum where there was a break in to steal from him.

You'd think he would suspect the Dragonborn of being the thief, or person that killed the guards and his nephew, and not the malfunctioning old traps.

We just need a "Calcelmo doesn't know" mod to make Faleen cheat on him with Ondolemar too.

Reachwind Eyrie and the Gauldur myth.

The notes that led to this myth specifically state Gauldur's tower had collapsed. "near where his tower once stood", and plenty of Nordic ruined towers are nearby. Including Dead Crone Rock. Which was only inhabited by Reachmen and Hagravens in the 2nd era (ESO), Gauldur was 1st era and a Hagraven moving into an old wizard tower makes more sense to me than people attributing a standing tower to one specified as collapsed.

Huntsman's Prowess, 20 archery, 100 Smithing (No gear or Ancient Knowledge), Legendary

Iron arrows only, very low sneak. I intentionally left Bow of the Hunt untempered.

In my testing all trolls, and all insects are animals too. So if you want to do Frostflow early, or any bear den the Bow of the Hunt in any version of the game on Legendary is the way to go.

Mulash gro-Shugraz, my second favorite orc after Urag gro-Shub.

Not only does he keep a garden of vegetables, but juniper berries for his drink. He is hard on his workers, but take into consideration how Cosnach takes advantage of Arnleif and Sons. He can also be reasoned with, you don't have to break his nose to get him to realize Omluag and Hathrasil are not Cosnach.

Dude has built a hell of a life for himself in Markarth and keeps true to that Hunter/Stronghold life. The missed quota stressing him out and pushing him to be rough on his workers is also being caused by Nepos the Nose not meeting his quotas.

Rorikstead and Ivarstead Conspiracies

All the people thinking there is some conspiracy at Rorikstead, have you looked at Ivarstead angering Kyne?

"But the daedra book and soul gems!"

There is also a shrine to Akatosh, two if you clear the fort and the Empire controls it instead.

Two shrines of Zenithar as well, so we have Akatosh which represent endurance, and everlasting legitimacy and Zenithar representing commerce, and honest labor. With a strong anti war message, peace.

"But the lack of women, and childbirth deaths!"

We have a town that also meets that criteria, Ivarstead. The younger people want to move away to the city so the towns future isn't assured, and has its own sad story in Narfi and his sister. Plus a barrow full of undead one could argue threatens them. Also a failing timber industry due to bears, like they've pissed off Kyne, whose word of power (Kyne's Peace) is found inside since bears and animals even attack travelers on the steps.

I've never seen anyone accuse Ivarstead of being founded on something evil in the same way as Rorikstead. Despite both having underlying messages of peace with and in the land.

Toxic trees, anyone know of any others?

Withershins appears at Gloomreach and Temple of Kynareth, all of them feature toxic enemies or weaponry (Nettlebane) and some type of possible Dwemer connection. Hagraven worship of Peryite perhaps.

Edit: Sleeping Tree Camp was one I forgot.

Do bandits, and non-named npcs have perks?

I was curious if this is true, because looking at the Ebony Warrior it seems he never spawns with a weapon suited to take advantage of bone breaker to ignore your armor.

If the bandits, falmer, etc spawn with perks to are they based on the weapons they receive or randomly generated and mismatched to the weapon or combat style they use.

Feels like you could increase the difficulty of the game without making them damage sponges by giving them appropriate perks for stuff they spawn with since the enchanted or basic gear is heavily randomized and sometimes mismatched too.

Any Creations that add something more above Markarth?

A house with a balcony overlooking the city very far below perhaps, so I can look down on Calcelmo. With a horse you can get pretty far before hitting any invisible barriers exploring the mountains around the city.

Nice day for fishing ain't it!

I never realized you can catch these rings in Markarth, Bard's Leap has the highest chance of any location I'd found. I also averaged anywhere between 42 and 75 dwarven ingots, and about 200 septims per 1 -2 in game hour/s. Juvenile mudcrabs are also fairly common, averaging 2-3 in that same time.

Legendary Tyranus is a bit rough though, the magic attacks are not bad as a Breton. It is his mace you need to worry about.

The only way this could've been better was if the horse was that close, and mentioned Hammerfell.
