Pilates and/or weight training

Do any of you do Pilates and/or intense weight training exercises?

Pre stoma I was an avid exerciser and I want to get back into it again to some level, so I’m in optimal fitness leading up to my next surgery. What I don’t want to do is do anything to injure myself.

For anyone who does workout, have you managed to not get a hernia from exercising?

I finished! And already onto my next one lol

I am really pleased with how this turned out even though I think I messed up a couple of the butterflies. But it was my first PBN so I don’t mind.

I think it looks similar to the website photo. It’s from DIY art club.

I have already started the next one!

Low energy and slight nausea

Hi. I’m 5 weeks in with my temporary stoma and I noticed I get tired really quickly and also sometimes feel a bit nauseous

I definitely a not eating how I used to so I’m wondering if it’s that I’m not getting enough nutrients.

Before this op I had I was super fit and ate whatever I wanted.

I went in for a gynaecology procedure and ended up with this because my bowel perforated and they also decided to resect 10cm of my large bowel as it was diseased and rock hard on one side. They think from a previous diverculitis episode I had years ago. I didn’t even know I had it.

My stoma is active and I’m producing from it so that’s not an issue. Is this normal to feel so tired etc?

Post your RB then and now

This is my Bella when she was a kitten in 2012. She’s 14 now! I think she still looks like a baby

RBs eyes are never yellow

I saw on a recent post, some people saying some RBs eyes are yellow. They are never yellow. An RB will have blue eyes which then turn green

Anyway here’s my 14 year old girl now and as a kitten

Croydon uni hospital puréed menu

I ordered beef with cauliflower cheese and mash and got this instead. Suffice to say I’m sure they got my order wrong and I was so disappointed. It’s puréed beef with cubes of swede and potato. So bland 😂

Hospital is in south London, UK

Mucus and pain

Hi
I am almost 4 weeks post op and have a temporary stoma.

I started passing some mucus this week from my rectum after feeling like I need to poo and sitting on the toilet. I can very much control it.

I’ve noticed when I am expelling the mucus, I get some pain in I guess what is left of my colon attached to the rectal stump. It’s not massive pain and only happens as the mucus is coming out and then stops instantly.

Is this normal? I am wondering if it’s spasms.

There’s no blood, just putty like mucus that comes out.
