My grandma bought a 2025 cx-30 in June of 2025. The car has 10k miles and we’ve had the oil changed twice at dealership since she bought it. My grandma is insisting that the oil needs changed again bc it’s been 6 months since we last had it done, but the car has only been driven about 2k miles since last oil change. A guy at the dealership told her not to worry about the oil change until the car alerts her that it’s time, which the car hasn’t done. She’s insisting the warranty will be void if she doesn’t change it every 6 months despite not driving it much. I think she should wait until the car tells her to change it.
