Spent all of the yesterday modifying my kolhoz electro-acoustic

I used cheap 6$(?) Borofone as an amplifier. Inside this guitar is wire spaghetti without any shielding, so hissing is pretty loud. The switch turns white (P90 style) pickup on and off, parallel to the burnt (Single coil) one. The burnt one is always active.

Found these metal boxes while disassembling old chicken coop

Some of them are kinda rusty on inside, but they are perfectly pedal-sized.

Sound demo of my cardboard DS-1

I don't know if this post will be duplicated, because I tried to load this same video a while ago. My guitar (bridge humbacker used) goes into pedal and then straight into large SVEN speaker.

Can you imagine that this thing sounds almost 1:1 like DS-1?

Tomorrow I'll finish this pedal and make a sound demo. Right now it only has gain pot and tone pot and only one input jack that I'll be replacing with DPDT stomp-switch

Made distortion scheme while only using parts that I have

I am only concerned about transistors due to their low gain (I looked up two datasheets and gain is about 60-70 Hfe), but everything else seems ok.

Also, I gorgot to include diodes. I'll either use 1n4004, 1n4148 or rl205

Slightly(?) modified DS-1 circuit. Will it work?

Part that I messed most with was tone knob part. I had three variants before and this is the best one imo.

Will this crappy DS-1 clone work as intended?

BOSS doesn't supply their pedals into my region and the only ones you can buy either cost like three of my livers or sold on the other end of my country, so I came up with this design. I don't really know if 1nF capacitor before amp will work correctly or should I connect it to the bias voltage, and should I place diodes before 4.7uF capacitor and replacw gnd with bias

You can simulate spring reverb in falstad using powerline, lol

Accidentally discovered it by messing with circuits.

Almost finished my first pedal

I just need to connect input and output jacks and put it all into casing

Here's link if someone wants to listen to it. Replace A/C with "Audio input" And shove some test guitar riff, like I did. Idk if it'll work or no

My actually final final design (at least I hope). Tomorrow I'll get parts that I need and will start assembling it.

u/Pochtovyaschik — 4 months ago

First potentiometer is gain, it changes wave shape from almost round to triangular. Second pot is volume
