Kodi slow with SMB folder share in local network

Hi everyone, I have a folder on a Linux server that I share over my local network using Samba. I have no issues when viewing content via VLC on my PC, but if I try to watch a movie (around 30GB) on my Fire Stick 4K, it freezes to buffer every 10–15 seconds. The Fire Stick's built-in speed test shows 80 Mbps, and I have no problems with any other streaming service; it’s only slow with the Samba share. Do you know how I might fix this?

Outside receiver setup: tips, questions and more

Hi r/ADSB 1 year ago I started feeding my data thanks to my adsb receiver. Actually I have a mini-pc with ubuntu that thanks to piaware can see me air traffic. The sdr dongle and the antenna are the same of the picture:

https://preview.redd.it/qzvzzle65m8h1.png?width=471&format=png&auto=webp&s=7c4e1d13db13193fc8ba3a00c25e26202d18ee5e

I receive without problems up to 100 NM, then from 100 up to 150 NM much less aircraft.

Now, I want to build the "definitely" setup.

I was thinking about switching to a Raspberry Pi 4 powered via PoE, as I'd like to move the entire setup to the roof, in a waterproof box such as IP 67, like that:

https://preview.redd.it/hjplptfe7m8h1.png?width=894&format=png&auto=webp&s=8866a8dc8896098157ffc46d4d9427fc119f15f5

I have a question: since I live in an area that is very muggy during the summer and humid at night, and very humid in the winter (southern Italy), will the waterproof box, with the appropriate precautions, be able to prevent water infiltration or condensation? I also don't want to install fans precisely to avoid the water problem: could this cause the Raspberry to overheat?

Would it be appropriate to create some "insulation" that would at least prevent the airtight box from being exposed to the scorching sun for 12 hours a day?

I would also like to have some testimonials from someone who has the whole setup outside so I can get some inspiration.

Once this problem (the biggest one, IMHO) is solved, I'll upgrade my antenna and SDR, and I'd also like to add a filter. Since everything will be on the roof, an excessively long coaxial cable is not necessary: 5 meters maximum, but 3 is more than sufficient.

I can't spend a lot of money; I'm a student, so don't recommend super-expensive antennas or filters. However, I'd like to improve, or at least stabilize, and boost my receiver.

Edit: P.S. I forgot to mention that I would also like to integrate an airspy receiver on the same Raspberry Pi soon, so keep that in mind too.

Fiat 500L headunit advice

Hi guys,

I want to change my unit (an Uconnect 5', original fiat 500L radio) with an android headunit.

I searched on aliexpress, but I want an advice of you, because sometimes infos are incomplete.

I need an excellent/good fm receiver with af and rds. I don't need DAB+ or AM. Then, i need android auto and carplay (wireless if is possible). I don't need a lot of ROM because I'd only need to install a few apps. The only thing I want is for Maps/Waze and, above all, Android Auto to work smoothly, without stuttering. I'd also like a model that includes the frame for my car. I don't want a very big screen, I think max 10', but 9' or under is good. I don't plan on spending a lot, but I'm looking for the features listed above. Thank you so much.
