My FD held hostage by SBI, please help

Hi all,

I am PLEADING and REQUESTING with my folded hands please please please help me, here is the complete scenario:

I have a salary account in SBI and below is what has happened:

1- April 15th - I created an FD worth 2.1L

2- April 15th - I issued an OD worth 1.8L on top of this FD

Time passed and slowly I started repaying the OD amount

3- Sept 24th - I finally repaid all the OD outstanding amount and using the YONO app closed my OD. However, when OD was being closed it showed "something went wrong".

Then I refreshed the app after it got stuck and I saw OD was successfully closed (I even have OD closure certificate) but to my suprise the FD was still blocked.

I immediately contacted the YONO helpline and I a ticket was raised.

In parallel I told the same to my father as he has good relations with the bank, he reached out to the branch manager.

The branch manager then told everything looks good FD should have been unblocked, she asked us to wait 1 day if automatically it'll get released.

Next day we again reached out as FD was still blocked and we were told to write a written application so that they can forward it to head office as they can only release the lock manually from FD and asked us to wait another few days

Now today i.e. 30th Sept when I again reached out for update they told the case they have raised is marked to success although lock on my FD is still not removed hence they have reopened the case today.

Now this feels total bullshit, they are just making me go circles and it's festival season coming up I needed that FD and my mother's knee replacement surgery also has to be done so I need funds for that too to support my father !!

Now you guys please tell me what are my options what can I do to get all of this resolved ASAP ??

It feels soo frustrating I have to beg them to let me use my own money !!

Flipkart ruined my gift to brother - Please I am begging you all for help !! :(

Hi All,

Please help me I am in soo much anxiety and stress now because of all the drama flipkart has created in my life !!

I don't really know where else to put this, so I'm asking here because I know people on this sub have dealt with Flipkart's nonsense before.

I bought a gaming laptop through Flipkart a little over two weeks ago. It arrived with a manufacturing defect in the camera — visible on day one. I reported it immediately, well within the replacement window. That should have been the end of it.

Instead:

  • Told a technician visit would happen in 3 days. On day 3, told it was "cancelled due to a technical issue." I contacted the manufacturer directly myself — they confirmed no such visit request was EVER raised by Flipkart. They just made that up.
  • My complaint got split across three different incident numbers, each with a different promised resolution date. All broken.
  • I answered two calls from Flipkart — dead silence both times on their end. They then emailed me saying I was "unreachable." My own call logs prove otherwise. A flat-out lie, in writing.
  • Their own Help Centre has marked this complaint "Resolved" multiple times with literally nothing resolved.
  • I filed with the National Consumer Helpline. Closed by Flipkart in under 4 hours, telling me to go get proof from the manufacturer myself, because apparently that's my job now.
  • I did it anyway — manufacturer's technician came out, sealed the unit, gave me exactly the document Flipkart said they needed. Flipkart's own upload system to receive it was broken. I've been told to "wait 24 hours" more times than I can count.
  • I got the DOA and submitted it. My order then became inaccessible on the app — "Something went wrong" — while every other order on my account works fine. Convenient timing.
  • Two different reps have since told me two completely contradictory things about the same document, hours apart.
  • I've now filed multiple separate consumer helpline complaints. All get the exact same copy-pasted non-answer.

I'm exhausted and genuinely angry at this point. I'm taking this to consumer court, but in the meantime I don't know what else actually moves the needle with this company.

To be clear: I want a REPLACEMENT of the defective laptop. That's it. I do not want a refund — if they push one on me, I'd need my original exchanged laptop back too.

Has anyone actually gotten Flipkart to move on something like this? Does escalating publicly do anything, or is the consumer court case the only real lever? Any tips on what worked for you would help a lot right now.
