I just moved to the San Diego area, and need help. I am on a mission to complete the National Dex for Platinum. I own all gen 3 and 4 games aside from Diamond. Just finished climbing Mt.Fuji and needed to do some laundry. Emerald is just as fun on top of the mountain as it is in a laundromat.

Was scanning uncommon legendary creatures to try and build a new pauper commander. Bushmaster, Coiled Henchman caught my eye. I originally planned to make it earthbending with creatures that ETB with counters. This would allow me to take advantage of the deathtouch and trample rule. As I was looking at every green common that dealt with counters, Slime Against Humanity showed up. Not only does it make creatures that have counters, but they also naturally have trample. I shifted it to mana dorks/ramp, slimes, and any card draw in mono green pauper I could find. Not only does it seem very good, but its a fully common list. Let me know what you think!
I used to collect cards a very long time ago. I shifted to Magic the Gathering and kind of stuck with it for the better part of a decade. That was until a buddy of mine invited me go to a card show he was vending at. I saw all of the old vintage cards I remembered my brothers giving me all those years ago. I decided I'd get a few cool cards, and just end it there. That did not happen, and I now am attempting to master set all of the WOTC era cards.
I started with fossil since my local card show has all of its common and uncommon cards in bulk bins. I quickly picked up all of the commons and uncommons from jungle as well and it started to snowball a little. I have most of jungle and fossil done, so I decided to tack on a few others (which I realize now means I will be doing all WOTC era sets). I've started on base set and team rocket now. I live in Hawaii, so the supply on some thinks like collectibles is hit or miss. Because of this, you'll find team rocket commons and uncommons (not the legit pricey ones) for $3-$4 because it's vintage and someone will buy it.
For both jungle and fossil, I am proud to say I bought every card in person. I sadly could only get around half of base set in person, and almost none of team rocket. I folded and used tcg since it saved hundreds, which I can use toward big hits I need like base set Charizard. I ended up buying all remaining commons, uncommons, and every non-holo trainer (rares included).
I am very proud of this collection, and just want to kind of show it off a little! If anyone has any memories of these older sets, is currently trying to master sets, or even just has some tips for collecting I would love to hear them.
