Comics and Billy's Backstory
I, personally, don't read comics. The first one I ever read was the Young Avengers(2005) run. It was my Favourite. The reason I read it was because of Wandavision and Billy and Tommy. The characters resonated in ways I can't tell. It was the reason I realized I was gay at 12.
I really liked the Backstory given for both of them. It made sense and wasn't too messy, besides the 2 sets of parents. Also, in the comics, Billy was quite fond of Wanda, which made me like him more. I always felt like he was just like me, too, to the point where I thought I was just like him.
I write fanfics and still do, and whatnot. Then, I think a year prior, Marvel announced the cast for AAA, I was excited for Billy's arrival, but then I was told Joe Locke would play the character. TBH I was not fond of the casting, considering Heartstopper
It was childish of me, but I was 13, so sue me. I didn't watch it for a whole year. Today I felt like I had left the grudge and binge-watched it. I was personally crying a lot, and I was moved. The arc of Lilia blew my mind. Jen was my favourite character. But when I was playing the ep of Billy's backstory, and while they explained the story, my heart was pounding, tears pouring down. I feel like this one is just explainable but not good. They made it seem like something's wrong with Billy and he's not in his body. He doesn't belong. I don't like it.
I liked Eddie, but Teddy and Billy were each other's first and last bf. Them changing this fucks with me a lot.
At the end, maybe it will be alright. Maybe I am posting this to be validated,d but like they were my parents, you cannot do this.
