Do you think the witches road would make an excellent ride to have at one of the Disney Parks, if it ever happens at all?

I think it be a cool ride if there ever was one, because the imaginative, dark, horrifying and wildly creative atmosphere and environment of the witches road itself would be perfect for the Disney parks, especially at Halloween season where it could be suited perfectly for that time. The basics is that if you're in a group and you can get go down the road yourself, where you can take control of the road itself, and i think it would be so cool and amazing if they ever do it, I would do it so badly. The scares and fun of it would be amazing to do.

MCU Wiccan sketch

I recently got back into drawing after several years of thinking I wasn’t “good enough”. Started up again and thought I’d try my hand at drawing our boy, in his MCU look.
Hope you all like it!

What Agatha and Billy are up to while Tommy and Vision are reuniting and going on their own adventure in VisionQuest

I saw this on twitter and I loved the thought of them just getting distracted from their search for Tommy by Billy showing off his magic tricks to Agatha. So adorable of them.

I think Agatha got off way too easy

A lot of praise for the show is that it doesn't try to redeem Agatha. But I do think it falters in the way it tries to make us sympathize with her, because:

  1. She's not given a proper motivation for her villanous actions, which would not be necessary if not for the act that:
  2. She's not subject to any form of penance/justice throughout the entire show, all the way to the end.

No proper motivation

From what we're shown, Agatha is just a power hungry serial killer by nature. Not saying every villain has to have a "greater good" that they're fighting for, but Agatha notably has no real end goal. She just wants to acquire as much power as possible.

It was written as an addiction, with a hint of spite towards witches because of what her mother and her coven "did" to her ("did" in quotes because it's never really confirmed but I am pretty sure they are morally in the right), and then with a hint of coping mechanism after her son dies.

I do think this is still interesting, and serves well as her motivation. A villain doesn't need a grander purpose, even if they're the protagonist. But, it reduces our ability to sympathize with Agatha, which matters because it makes Billy sympathizing with her despite all her actions hard to understand and hard to accept. It also matters because of the second point.

No satisfying conclusion

When the villain is your protagonist, you have a few options to make the story end in a satisfying nonetheless.

  1. Eventually show their downfall (like Death Note),
  2. Have them be brought to justice (like You)
  3. Put them on a redemption/atonement arc where they see the errors of their ways and/or try to amend their mistakes (like Breaking Bad kind of)
  4. Frame it as a tragedy where the villain is unrepentant and gets away with it.

Agatha All Along does none of this. Agatha "sacrifices" herself for Billy, but it doesn't cost her anything besides her corporeal form. Granted, in theory this is a big sacrifice, as she essentially giving up her life and her quest for power. But because it's not framed as such, I'm left thinking "Wow really? That's all she gets?".

She's almost brought to justice by Billy through banishment, but then they pivot at the last second to an ill-conceived team up that is cool in theory but in practice leaves a bad taste in my mouth because she has not redeemed herself nor atoned for any of her actions. Her "I can't face him" moment is emotional and self-aware, but it doesn't absolve her enough to where I can accept their team-up. Billy essentially forgiving her because "we're both witch-killers" doesn't work for me because while I can get why Billy blames himself, it still doesn't equate at all to Agatha's crimes.

Despite Kathryn Hahn's charisma, I don't really feel any sympathy for Agatha the serial killer, so the ending just leaves me unsatisfied. I think the banishment ending would've fit much better for this specific story, as it would've allowed us to follow Agatha's character, get an understanding of her, see the little good in her, even sympathize with her at some points, but still see her face justice.

Even if they decided they had to keep Agatha around as a ghost for the larger Marvel canon, it's the framing of the ending that's the problem for me. If it was framed as a reluctant but pragmatic team-up from Billy's POV, or a atonement/penance team-up for Agatha, it would've been more satisfying.

I’m scared for the future of the characters of the WandaVision trilogy outside of it.

I am certain that VisionQuest is going to be an absolute masterpiece, just like WandaVision and Agatha All Along was. I trust these writers, I trust their vision for these characters, I trust their writing.

But…the last time one of these characters, “stepped outside” this trilogy, it felt like stepping from a warm Jacuzzi to the cold air. Wanda’s character in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness was wrecked to say the least. She was mischaracterised and then (allegedly) killed off.

Even the actress, Elizabeth Olsen was surprised and disappointed with the way writers of Multiverse of Madness wrote Wanda.

I fear for the rest of the characters, especially Agatha, Wiccan & Speed…because I feel like Vision is a lot harder to mischaracterise?

What do you think about the Joe Locke hate

With the new VISIONQUEST trailer coming out, and with the on screen reveal of Billy’s brother, Tommy, there have been some…comparison…to say the least.

Comics and Billy's Backstory

I, personally, don't read comics. The first one I ever read was the Young Avengers(2005) run. It was my Favourite. The reason I read it was because of Wandavision and Billy and Tommy. The characters resonated in ways I can't tell. It was the reason I realized I was gay at 12.

I really liked the Backstory given for both of them. It made sense and wasn't too messy, besides the 2 sets of parents. Also, in the comics, Billy was quite fond of Wanda, which made me like him more. I always felt like he was just like me, too, to the point where I thought I was just like him.

I write fanfics and still do, and whatnot. Then, I think a year prior, Marvel announced the cast for AAA, I was excited for Billy's arrival, but then I was told Joe Locke would play the character. TBH I was not fond of the casting, considering Heartstopper

It was childish of me, but I was 13, so sue me. I didn't watch it for a whole year. Today I felt like I had left the grudge and binge-watched it. I was personally crying a lot, and I was moved. The arc of Lilia blew my mind. Jen was my favourite character. But when I was playing the ep of Billy's backstory, and while they explained the story, my heart was pounding, tears pouring down. I feel like this one is just explainable but not good. They made it seem like something's wrong with Billy and he's not in his body. He doesn't belong. I don't like it.

I liked Eddie, but Teddy and Billy were each other's first and last bf. Them changing this fucks with me a lot.

At the end, maybe it will be alright. Maybe I am posting this to be validated,d but like they were my parents, you cannot do this.
