Why am I so bad at propagating? Help!

In May I ordered some clippings of variegated string of hearts (I’ve always wanted these pink beauties, and since my SOT are thriving I thought it was time to give them a try). I killed them so fast. I spoke with the seller and he was surprised I was able to kill them. So I ordered two rooted cuttings, followed the instructions carefully (which were to plant in succulent soil, keep the root balls right under the soil, not too deep, in a 3” unglazed terracotta pot with drainage but no added amendments (I’ve got everything but just succulent soil was instructed), water thoroughly then hang it. It was doing well at first, but I didn’t think it was growing enough so I moved it. (The June 27 pic is the first pic I took of it in the new location. It is closer to the window. Perhaps it’s getting burnt? Now I think it’s dying. So I’ll move it back where it was, but does it look dead? Should I fertilize? Repot in something smaller with substrate or some earthworm castings? It always seems dry but I don’t water it a lot. My SOT barely get watered and they love life. I did give in and order a big pink string of hearts and it came with fungus gnats, so I’m treating that one but being sent a new one. Do SOH hate me? Any help with saving this one would be MUCH appreciated. I really want it to do well! Thanks!

Is this a fungus gnat?

I purchased some plants online and they’ve been quarantined. I noticed a little bug in the variegated string of hearts when I unwrapped it, but it moved so quickly into the soil I couldn’t get a pic. It came very overwatered. I was checking them today to see if the overwatered plants had dried out and I noticed more of these tiny bugs. I separated the string of hearts and put it into a plastic container for now, and a couple of the bugs went onto the container so I got to take a photo. I did a peroxide watering (1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide to 4 parts distilled water), then I read that’s not good for it so I’m going to go spray the leaves with water so they don’t burn :/ I also put sticky traps all around it. I’m guess if this is a fungus gnat that I have to treat all of the plants that are isolating together? Is that what this bug is? Does the hydrogen peroxide dunk work or would mosquito bits be better? Please help! I don’t want my other plants getting these. I’m itchy from talking about it.
The plants currently get about 10 hours of light from a grow light because they can’t be near my other plants (they were getting 8 but this one started to lose variegation), and they haven’t been watered until today because most showed up soaked! I have everything I need to repot all if necessary, but probably not the skills lol.
Those little strings in the plant are cotton from the packing- no mealies!

Should I be worried about my new plants?

I had a bunch of cat grass in one huge (non draining) metal bowl (mistake one). I kept it alive for months and months then I COMPLETELY overwatered it to the point I had to pour the water out but it was too soaked. I have more cat grass and it was dying so I decided to throw it out, but I saw little black bugs in it. So before I threw it out, I put on some gloves and dug through the soil. I found these and black, fast moving, jumping bugs. It wasn’t near anything else and it’s been gone for awhile, but I recently ordered some plants online and in my string of hearts I thought I saw one of the same black bugs! I couldn’t take a pic because it moved so fast. The soil is much too moist for a string of hearts and it looks healthy but I’m thinking I should repot it and look for these worm things? I told the supplier about it and he assures me that there’s nothing wrong with it. The new plants are currently in isolation and have been sprayed with 70% isopropyl, and they’re under a grow light (isopropyl was sprayed at night). Any advice?

Help with my tradescantia velvet

I realize I need to clean up the dead leaves, and I’ve just read she needs much more light and much less water. What else should I do? Should she be repotted? There’s so much space between the soil and the pot, and I feel like she should be in an unglazed ceramic pot to keep dry. Should I trim dying parts off? She does have new growth so that’s good, right? And she was in close proximity to a plant that had mealies, how would I tell if she has them when she’s got all that beautiful fuzz? I look daily with a magnifying glass and there’s nothing moving. Please give me all of the tips to get her back to where she was in pic 1! Thanks!

Is this fungus gnat larvae?

I bought a bunch of plants online and I’ve been isolating them. They came wrapped and I just took the cotton and tape off of the top of the pots last night and saw this gross white worm. (That big thing, nothing else was moving). It was super fast moving with no legs. I don’t see it on the other plants. The soil is soaking wet on some of these plants. Not sure why someone would ever water them that much and idk how to dry it out faster. Since they’re in isolation, they’re in a box with a grow light. This one is in its own isolation now. If it is larvae, would the cotton/tape being on top of the pots possibly have prevented the other plants from being infested? Tell me it’s not fungus gnat larvae!
