Stats and research

I know for MD schools gpa and mcat are like king and ECs only come after that. For MD/PhD programs, however, if you like cracked at research but ur stats are mid, does ur research save you. Or is it like reg MD admissions where ur kinda screwed.

Research heavy med school app

Hey everyone! I have a extremely research heavy application w like 3k research hours and 3 pubs. I'm applying to MD programs after my gap year and dont want to do a MD/PhD because I dont want to go through the extra schooling esp since I dont particularly want to be a Pi. Anyways, I have an decent amount of clinical hours (500 hours) but compared to my research hours I am so worried it is too research heavy and might be a red flag to med schools. Does anyone have advice or had a similarly research heavy app?

Security Deposit Issue

Hi everyone! So my landlord has not given me my security deposit back or made any deductions and it has been over 21 days (i live in california). I've reached out the agent many times asking when i would get my deposit back and he basically kept telling me that my old roommate would send me my portion.

For context, my lease ended in the beginning of june and my roommate decided to extend her lease by 30 days independently. So as of now she's living there and everything.

At the 21 day mark I just straight up told the agent that I just want the landlord or him to give me my deposit back bc my old roommates being unresponsive and the deadline has passed. He then told me that I don't get my security deposit until my roommate moves out because on the lease it says that the return only takes place when the last tenant on the lease vacates the property?? I'm a little confused if this is right. I didn't put my name on the lease extension.

Can someone please let me know your guys thoughts on this. I thought I get my security deposit after the lease ends and I shouldn't be held liable for damages that occur while she's living in the apartment for the next 30 days

Friend touching my thigh

So one of my best friends is a very affectionate person. His love language is physical touch and he really loves giving hugs. But anyways we got drunk with all of our friends the other day and he was dding us home. Everyone in the car fell asleep and I was in the passengers seat. He like put his hand on my thigh and was gently rubbing it and was telling me how much he really appreciates me. That moment seemed hella intimate and I feel like for a normal friend that would usually raise flags. But he's genuinely a affectionate person so is there any way that this could of been fully platonic or am i in denial 😭

My roommate has two cats and she keeps the litter in her room. She also keeps her rooms door open so the cats can get in in out of it. for the first couple months I really didn't mind and would rarely ever smell the litter. But omg these past couple weeks I swear the smell is so strong when i go in the hallway. and sometimes it seeps into my room. I never have owned cats so is this normal?? and if not how can i ask her to handle the litter in a nice way 😭
