7 year old spayed female started marking in the house

I have a 7 year old aussie that has always been marked over our other dogs urine spots and VERY occasionally she will go in the house overnight. About a week ago she started going in the house overnight again sometimes in random spots sometimes much more deliberate gathering dog bones and putting them on top of the dog bed before marking everything at one time.

I tried kenneling her at night but she spends all night barking, whining, or attempting to break out of the cage. As of this morning shes already worn a small hole in the top of her nose from banging it on the cage. Finally last night I left something right outside the cage not thinking about it and she peed on the floor, the water bottle, and her cage.

She doesnt seem to care about any correction I give her and she is willing to lay in her own urine if it means getting to mark what she wants. Ill also add I dont think its medical as shes been in the cage nearly a week and last night was her first "accident"

Rykard/ serpent hunter gets more frustrating the deeper I look

I got in a debate the other day which caused me to look deeper into the lore of Rykard and the weapon found to defeat him. At first it seemed relatively okay but after looking into the item description and challenging it against the rest of the world it fits less and less.

The serpent hunters description reads

Weapon that serves as both greatsword and spear.

Thought to have been used to hunt an immortal great serpent in the distant past, it manifests a long blade of light when facing such a creature.

When their master's heroic aspirations degenerated into mere greed, his men searched for a weapon with which they might halt their lord.

Now this makes enough sense as to why it works for slaying rykard but it had never occurred to me to think about it working on Messmer. I asked around here and ive heard answers ranging from essentially "don't think about it too hard" which wasnt very satisfying or "it was made to kill rykard" but thats just not at all what the weapon says or "because it would just make messmer to easy" which also isnt a good answer because its a gameplay justification but has no basis in the lore.

The only answer that I heard that kind of made sense was that the abyssal serpent guiding messmer isnt a "great serpent" specifically which was admittedly still kind of shit but I figure was the best answer I'd get. Although its still fuzzy to me how an immortal "ordinary serpent" would be classified or whatever classification the abyssal serpent would fall into.

So started me down the rabbit hole of trying to figure out what makes a snake classify as a "great" snake. Which made me google what is considered a great snake. The category seems relatively flexible but most every definition seems to agree that the great snakes are classified by their size (which i think both snakes fit into the category as p2 messmer that snake is plenty big even if smaller than the god devouring serpent) and being non-venomous. This sent my irritation to new heights as now only the abyssal serpent and messmer even qualify as the venom spit in rykard P1 obviously means hes only got half the requirements unless this is just some bs category that was made up in the elden ring universe but there's still no explanation for why the abyssal serpent wouldnt be one.

To sum it all up Ive played through this game plenty times and I hate this fight everytime but all of this has given me an even deeper hatred for the gimmick. Im definitely open to finding out new info or a translation error that changes all or any of this so feel free to drop anything I may have missed or got wrong.

A couple questions about weapons

So I might be an idiot as im not usually a lore guy but I got in an argument about rykard today and to make a very long story short I stumbled on 2 things that just dont make sense to me.

  1. To do with the serpent hunter and messmer. The weapon says it is used to hunt an immortal great serpent and when in the facing such a creature it manifests a long blade of light. Since the weapon doesn't specify only rykard why wouldnt it also extend when facing messmer? Or is the abyssal serpent not a serpent due to something I dont understand?

  2. The ancient smithing stones

Throughout the game hewg says the weapon you have isnt good enough to kill a god and in the ancient stone's description it reads the stone twists time, allowing the creation of a weapon capable of slaying a god. I realize this question is kinda crazy as I feel the implication is that without the twisting of time and these stones is that any other weapon would be incapable? Is this just a poor translation? Obviously I know the gods in the game could be killed by literally any weapon of any upgrade level but it does seem weird to word it the way they did

Idk why this bugs me so much but ive tried to look around and find why these "bane" type weapons exist but only for rykard does it really seem to mean anything

Level 1 run finally done!

Dont have many to share this with so I figured some of yall might appreciate it. After 27hrs 36min im finally done with the base game! Idk if ill ever go back and do the dlc because that might just break my mentals for good and I didnt do all the bosses in the base game obviously, mostly just wanted the title of elden lord.

Also while im here id just like to say a special f*** you to whoever helped make godskin duo as they were almost 50% of this runs playtime by themselves for anyone else stuck on them carian retaliation was my trick to finally getting over the hurdle
