[Old School Hardcore] Ant Ogden at Back to the Dock with MC Robbie D

Sharing one of my proudest moments, getting to DJ in a club on the same line up and DJ Sy and MC Robbie D was there and jumped on my mix, my mix didn't go 100% to plan and especially the scratching, was nerve wracking and my hands were sweating and stuck to the jogs lol Mixed live on XDJ - XZ

I'm mostly a bedroom DJ but had a few chances like this that I'm grateful for.

Opinion: Learn with one board or rotate ? [52YO]

I'm still only a month and half back into it and I've bought multiple boards, I just wondered what people's opinion is.... Should I stick to one specific deck while learning again, or do you think there is an advantage to rotating between my popsicle and my cruiser deck for each session? 🛹 Cruiser has a thinner kick and short nose of course, popsicle, standard double kick.

Gripped [52YO]

Believe it or not, the first time I've ever applied grip tape, not the best job in the world, maybe I needed a sharper knife, but looking forward to spinning on Vinyl 🎶🛹 Any tips for next time?

Gentle Cruising + skate to buy my lad some pads/helmet [52YO]

I took your advice, met up with my son today and we skated a bit and then went to get pads/helmet from local shop, are rare hot sunny day ☀️😁

Got myself some new dragon wheels and I like running, so bit of running with the board on my back 🏃🛹

Good times indeed! No video but my son was impressed I nose slid some kerbs, rolled to fakie and did a 180 😂 Simple as f*** but he was impressed with the old codger beginning again 😂

Over protective father? [52YO]

So my son messages me and says he's been out for a little jaunt on the old skateboard, then I noticed his max speed, do you think at this speed he should wear a helmet? 🪖🙈 One small stone and he's toasted right? 🫠

Steady cruising [52YO]

I decided to get a Cruiser as I've been back to it a month or two, have managed to pop a couple of Ollie's on the Santa Cruz board, but find that I like simply rolling around nice and easy.

The Powell board has much looser trucks than I've ever used but I reckon that'll be good for meto improve balance and it's definitely awesome to slowly carve down the street, it only arrived yesterday and just spent a nice hour rolling early hours, absolutely loving it. 💚🛹

Shout out to everyone rolling, cruising! And kudos to those pulling off all the tricks, astounding, not sure how you guys do it 🫡

Thinks about going, hippie jumps onto board, stumbles, board flips, cracks shins 🤣🤣 Lord help me if I make it out of the door.

On that note..... Found out we have a skate park literally 10 minutes walk away 😁. I can sense Death rubbing his hands together. ☠️🛹👀

Any tips for when I finally figure out balancing? 😁

Do any of you track your skateboarding on Strava? 😄 I run every day, so Strava is something I use every day, and I started tracking my skateboarding too, 1 mile steady rolling around the basketball court this morning before work 🛹😁 My son thought it was cool so he started tracking his too 😅

I can't add photos to my last post so adding a new one, this is an injury from when I skated at 15 and the reason I am definitely getting padded up coming back and learning from scratch at 52, there's a similar scar on the other side, completely snapped my forearm and ended up with 2 plates and 10 screws 🤐. I will definitely be learning how to fall and seriously padding up this time, mostly just rolling tbh I can't see myself doing tricks like I did back then 🙈💯

I'm invincible now, time to throw myself off a skyscraper? 💪🤣🙈 I really need these, almost broke my wrist last week and all I did was trip getting off my board so I am hoping this is good for confidence, and safety 🙈😂
