How much is this Omega De Ville (Ref. 196.0214) worth?
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about selling this Omega De Ville, but I'm not sure what a fair asking price would be.
The only comparable sales I could find for this exact reference were around $650 USD and €470 (about $525 USD). I've attached screenshots of those listings at the end.
The main concern with my watch is the condition of the dial. It has noticeable corrosion, and I'm not sure how much that affects its value.
Details:
- Reference: 196.0214
- Year: 1979
- Movement: Quartz
- Case & bracelet: Stainless steel
Condition:
- The watch is running well and keeping good time.
- The battery was just replaced.
- The crown works properly.
- The dial has visible corrosion (the biggest issue).
- The bracelet has some light scratches from normal wear.
- The crystal has one very small scratch that's barely noticeable.
- Other than the dial, I'd say the watch is in pretty good condition.
Other information:
- No original box or papers.
- To the best of my knowledge, all parts are original.
Given its condition, what do you think would be a realistic selling price?
