Any interest for my retro-inspired art style? And what does it remind you of?

[Reupload] Behind The Scene : Footnotes
Footnotes have become part of my storytelling and writing. They are where the historian, the folklore enjoyer, the Buddhist-text gremlin, and the sleep-deprived former senior student (grad two years ago) who suffered typing her IS/Thesis at midnight (tragic)
In WWTBG, I use them to give readers context without interrupting the flow of the story too much—whether it is about Buddhist terminology, old ethnic labels, names, translations, or the complicated linguistic/historical/cultural atmosphere in each chapters.
So yes, my Three Kingdoms-related novel has become half fiction, half history, and half the distant scream of a university student who once worked on an IS about palliative care and “good death” around 2023–2024.

I think my style went from "niche digital art" to "Retro/Vintage imitation style"
I'm a 2010s kid (born 2002) , I'm remember that I used to watch everything from CRT TV to LED screen TV, binging on stuffs from Disney or Dreamworks, later on in a digital age, I watched some 90s anime , Shanghai Studio's donghua and Soyutzfilm animations, all of this slowly shaped my perception on art as I grew up.
My artstyle is unique, my mom says. I do think that it's not being in any criteria at all. And now that I had found the technic of adding some "grainy" filter into my artwork by myself...That's when I think that maybe I had done something scientifically (in color...)
So, what do you think? What does my art remind you of? Tell me in the comments!

My Chinese historical romance follows Guan Yu before legend swallowed him
Hi everyone! I’m currently publishing Whispering Wind Through the Bamboo Grove on RoyalRoad, a Chinese historical romance set in the late Eastern Han / Three Kingdoms era.
Vol.1 follows young Guan Yu before he becomes the legendary war god, and Hu Qingyue — a sharp-tongued, wolfish girl of mixed Han and Central Asian heritage whose existence history failed to remember.
This is not a progression fantasy or LitRPG. It is more of a slow-burn historical romance with war, politics, Buddhism/Confucian themes, soming of age , and a philosophical look at loyalty, fate, desire, and impermanence.
Expect:
- slow-burn romance between a disciple and a master's daughter
- historically grounded Han-era setting with Silk Road influence
- a heroine who is healer, merchant’s daughter and a mischievous wolf
- soft domestic scenes before history sharpens the knife
- tragedy, but not without warmth
I update every Saturday and Sunday.

I’d love to hear from readers who enjoy historical fiction, romance with philosophical undertones, or Three Kingdoms reinterpretations.

Art showcases by AnaMikaSD
Idk what I should call my artstyle but to be honest, it reminds me of old animations from Disney (in its gold age), Soyutzfilm, Shanghai Studio and etc, mix with anime from the 90s and some storybook illustrations.
I mostly draw stuffs related to history and culture, sometimes draw fanart too but not much. And I think there's a lot more for me to learning on it.
What do you think about it? Tell me in the comments, thank you.
