Just diagnosed with PTSD today, does anyone have a book that’s been insightful for them?

I had complex medical trauma as a teenager. I am now 31, some years have been better than others and I am triggered by physical ailments that mentally get me spiraling and having “flashbacks”. I want to understand my diagnosis more. Please be positive in the comments I am emotional today

Question about heat and Lexapro

I have been on Lexapro 20mg for about 10 years. I work professionally as a gardener and the past year I’ve had significant issues with heat intolerance. If it is about 85F I struggle. I had heat exhaustion 3 times in the past decade at a previous abusive employer and I’ve become more susceptible to heat issues. I think my heat issue is multifaceted but Lexapro is definitely playing a role in my susceptibility, I just don’t sweat enough. I can manage in the moment but I feel terrible later on and even the next day. The worst symptom I have is a sloshy head and slight dizziness the next day, despite proper hydration and diet. Has anyone else dealt with this? How do you cope? It’s hard for me to avoid this trigger as I work outdoors all day.

I also wonder if I get in my head about it and obsess over it. I think it’s a mix of that and something legitimate. I’m considering talking to my psychiatrist about switching medications because of this.

Lawncare addiction

Does anyone else go around observing and critiquing your neighbor’s lawn? My addiction has spread to public places, imagine my face when I saw this. How does this even happen?

I had to get out the car and snap a photo. I stopped short of trying to give advice to the adjacent restaurant owner.

Is anyone a Board Certified Entomologist?

I just learned of this certification today. It’s not in the tree world, but I would say is totally related. They seem to work this certification the same way that ISA does. I could see it being useful for arborists and am going to check it out myself. https://entsoc.org
