I present you my B'TWIN daily commuter setup

My daily commute:
2,5km bike ride to the train station (10 minute)
30km train ride (25 minute)
2,5km bike ride from the train station to the office (10 minute)

The reason for a folding bike: I ride bikes regularly since I am 3 years old, but until recently, I left my bike at the railwaystation, and in the city I only used Public transport.
But in Recent years, Budapest strated to inplement many bicycle friendly road renovations.
Also In my country you can transport folding bikes on the train free of charge,
and the car congestion is so bad in the city on my daily route, that the bus ride from the train station to the office often took 25-45 minutes.
I don't like e-scooters. I have a simple non electric scooter at the office, which really showed me, that I don't want an electric one, and be a jerk, riding 25+km/h between the predestrians risking my life (also in my country they are still grey area, as the government was not able to implement it to the law, and depending on the policemen it either classified as a bike, or a full on motorbicycle).

The predecessor: was a soviet folding bike, from facebook marketplace for 40€.
It was heavy, had no quick release, had to completely unscurv a big screw to fold it (it took 1 minute to fold it). It got the job done, the gear ratio was on spot, but it was too heavy, to carry it up and down on the stairs at the railwaystation, and fold it on the train (bc train conductors really wanted you to fold your bike, enev on empty trains, as it is the rule, that only free if it is folded).

So I bought a B'TWIN Tilt 100 on facebook marketplace for 120€.
It came with the basic quickstand, and the decathlon front basket, (which is surprisingly large, and very handy even tho it is an older one, without the shoulder strap)

The changes, I made, and additional shopped gears:

- Took the rear rack, which I bought for the old bike, and put it on.

- Replaced the factory 19T rear cogwheel to 14T with a shimano nexus3 gearhub, with rapidfire triggers, and double walled rim. The stock rearhub widht is 130mm, theshimano hub is 120mm, so i used 2 5mm washers as spacers.

- Replaced the stock decathlon rubber with a bit thiccer one (de original ones started to fall apart as they were 8 years old, and I got 3 punctures in 4 days thanks to Tribulus terrestris ).

- Installed more stable quickstand, which uses the stand location, instead of just hanging on the frame.

- Put on a small rear view mirror onto the end of the handlebar.

- Added phone holder.

- Added bottle holder with thermal insulation, and freezer gel back for the long rides.

- Added bluetooth speaker for music.

- Added bicycle pump with holder.

- Aded velotech framebag, with multitool for basic repair and an inner tube patch kit, a bicycle rain coat, visibility vest (mandatory for bicyclist for outside city limits in my country), and 2 elops sl510 lights.

- Fixxed a decathlon folding chair under the rear rack with rubber bands, (Because seating places are rare, and train delays worse in my country, than in germany, the 25 minutes ride, is often 50 minutes).

- Additional spider hook to secure various payloads.

- Bicycle bag for my things (With snacs if the train gets delayed for multiple hours, and a pocket fan, bc in summer times the new trains are relocated to the tourist routes, and I have to travel in 50+ years old carriages with no AC).

- trelock extra long number lock chain for security.

- Head protection: Decathlon Van rysel city helmet.

Custom mods:

- Replaced the front dummy light holder prism with a 3d printed, decathlon v100 light clip compactiable holder, decorated with reflective tape.

- Added reflective tape to the rear rack, and 2 v100 light holder, 1 under the seat, and one on the rear rack.

___________
Things I might do in the future:

- Make a custom front light holder in the shape of the original, and utilize the front hollow part of the frame, to hold the lights and tools, when not in use.
- Add a bluetooth tracker there too (in my country apple products are not that comon, and apple airtags are not reliable, I don't know android ones how much better).

- Sew a shoulder strap to the front basket, so I can use it conviniently when I do shopping.

- If the rear brakepads wear off, i might buy the roller brake set for the rear hub instead of replacing the rim brake.

- Make a 3d printed holder for the bluetooth speaker.

Greetings from Hungary.
