hello,

i need advice on how to steep this bar. maybe i am doing something off.

i bought Numi brand's whole leaf puerh and it tastes a nice.

i thought the bar version coz it looked like chocolate and it was neat and handy to travel with.

but i cant get it to taste good.

any suggestions before i give up and compost this? i think im doing something wrong.

i give it clean cool water just enough to loosen it. then use my fingers to separate it.

then hot boiling water rinse 3ish seconds and then dump.

then boiling water steep 3ish seconds and dump

then boiling water steep 8 seconds drink

(roughly like that)

but i can never get it to taste like their whole leaf version or good enough to drink it all

is this bar just a compression of one step above the tea bag version?

i tried their puerh tea bags before and it didn't taste this....sad?

any stories or advice or how do you think i should be steeping this would be greatly appreciated.

maybe I'll have to be selfish and not share my pots I don't know it just seems excessive to do that but this ... i don't even know how to replace its vintage and from elderly neighbors who moved away and gave it to me. so yes it's sentimental coz they're gone.

asked the seller if the bead was manmade but they didn't reply me .... 🤨🧐😬😤

they only replied after i gave a review with photos calling out their bs

i opened case for an etsy refund and then they

gave me a refund for the scam

then had the audacity to

ask me to change my negative review coz it made them sad!??? they wanted me to lie...

the positive: i finally learned how to use macro lens mode and manual zoom adjustment and take 50MP photos all just to show proof today 😤😁
