Mom of a 4 year old with a g tube. It was just placed 4 almost weeks ago.

The dr said to use the grip tape 100% of the time. Shes starting to develop some granulation and they said using the grip tape will help as well as minimize risk of it getting pulled out. As well as the fact shes a belly sleeper and roller during the night so there's lots of movement to where sometimes she gets it wrapped around. So the tape is absolutely necessary to prevent pulling.

My question/issue is that it irritates her skin, understandably, when it comes time to take it off and put a new one on.

What's the best way to do this? Is it better to change it more frequently? Does leaving it on longer make it stick harder when its time to remove it or the opposite?

Also her skin has gotten reddish from where its been and after removal. And not just for a few minutes. A whole day its still slightly red and then another goes on somewhat nearby where the last one was.

So far ive been using coconut oil to help break it down to soften it to take it off and to get the fuzz/sticky residue off that sometimes get left behind where the edges were.

I just ordered medical adhesive removing wipes off amazon, hoping these work a little better.

But what can I do for her to make this better and easier? Change more often or less often? Any suggestions for helping remove it without damaging the skin? Suggestions on what to put on the skin to help it recover in between stickers?

So long story short, my aunt sold her car privately for a large sum of money.

The buyers and her went to the bank together to deposit the check. The bank said it would be on hold 2 days because of the large amount. She argued about that because of the type of check it was. I dont know the details of this part, but they insisted it would be on hold 2 days and it would clear then.

My aunt is not good with records, she forgot to check the bank to see if it cleared.

Its not her primary bank she had it deposited to.

Well today she calls for help on navigating the bank site, then says the money isnt in there. I scanned through all her statements of the past 12 months and dont see anything. This is older than 90 days so all we have our statements and there's not a single statement showing a check deposited, on hold, cleared, or bouncing. Just nothing. Im not even sure if it would show up on a statement if it did bounce.

I checked her emails for any notices of check clearance issues and found nothing. I know her primary bank sends these notices but im not sure if this bank does.

Is there anything she can do or is this a complete loss?? Its been so long (6+mo <24mo) she doesnt even remember the names of these people and wed have to do some digging to find the receipts and contact info/message history etc.

Believe me I know, as would anyone else in this situation know the obvious and how they would feel in this situation, i dont need comments stating the obvious. Just wondering if there's anything she can do or should she chalk this up to a loss.

I live in FL.

Unmarried. No income.

With my first daughter i applied when pregnant as a household of me and her and my bfs dad as we lived with him and he paid the bills.

Had medicaid for 2-3years (covid era) then it got dropped.

I applied for it this time listing myself, daughter, and boyfriend as household. His income was too high, denied.

So we applied on marketplace as a household again the exact same way and everything as medicaid.

This time marketplace said he and our child could get coverage but I could NOT as we are not married i don't count as his household and they will fwd it to medicaid.

1 month later I have medicaid.

Contradictory to say the least.

Anyway january comes around and April would be my 1 year mark on medicaid.

Come march I find out my medicaid has been canceled. With a letter stating in february my household income exceeds the limit ( with the dollar amount being my boyfriend's income)

He claims me and our daughter on taxes as HOH. And I am joint on his bank acct. My bank acct stays relatively empty while his is where his deposits go and I (technically) have access to.

My question is if the bank account wasnt joint would that fix the ineligiblity? I understand they see it as his money is mine because its joint and in a legal standing it is but lets be real, its not always like that. Even if its joint some partners dont allow you to just use their money like its yours.

Or if I were to be pregnant again and apply now as a household of either 3 or 4. Me and 2 child or me and 2 child and boyfriend. Would i still be ineligible because of the joint account? Is there a way to prove the income in the joint account is his and not mine?

We were thinking of me getting part time work while I can for myself and remove the joint bank account. His money is his and mine is mine as we are not married i file my own taxes, him not claim me and apply again.

I should note me and our daughter are disabled but NOT on disability. But it seems like that doesnt affect eligibility in any way unless you are on disability. Which is why the not working and maybe trying part time.
