(when i say 'fandom-humour' or reference the fandom in any way, i'm not hating on the hellaverse fans/fandom. i'm referring to the fact that the memes derive from the fandom)

attached some examples in the slides, anyway: i don't like 95% of hazbin hotel/helluva boss memes because so many of them so unfunny and for what 💀 it's like despite the shows progressing into the big 26, the fandom-humour derived from them hasn't changed since the hazbin pilot dropped in 2019

i completely get that comedy is subjective but the 'i stole your meme' reaction image can't have been THAT funny to spawn 50 million hazbin hotel variants of it 💀 like the characters in these shows, these memes are dead as hell. some of the ancient ass meme formats i've been seeing are literally being kept alive on life support by the fandom because that's the only place where i see them being used YEARS after they've died 😭

it doesn't help that the shows themselves kinda play into this humour, with stuff like the "*SLURS*" penguins, alastor's laughing pose in vox's confession flashback referencing that 'WHEEZE' meme (iirc), and niffty's 'gremlin' pose that's in the last slide 😭 then again neither shows are the peak of comedy anyway so i'm not really surprised at the memes following suit, but that doesn't make them any more funny lol
