Plansee in September

Hallo.

Vielen Dank!

CW Pet Loss

Hi there. Please be kind.

My husband and I lost our 19 year old cat a few weeks ago. We got him when we was 14. He was truly my soul cat.

We had to fly to visit family bc my mom isnt doing well. We left him with my husband's brother. He always took care of him when we would travel.

Before the flight

Feb 2026: he was diagnosed with kidney problems and put on special food. No medicine.

I had noticed him getting more and more cuddly. He also became clumsy, but he ate and used his litter box just fine. He also loved hanging out outside. By clumsy I mean he would misjudge a step and fall.

After the visit with my family (2 weeks). We went to pick him up and his brother mentioned that he had been running into things.

When we got into the car our cat kept panicking but we didnt think much of it cause he has never liked the car. He peed everywhere. And a lot. His little heart was racing the whole time. When we got home we figured out he was completely blind. I never once thought he could be going blind. He was in a panic the whole night. Meowed the whole night and wouldnt lay down for more than 10 minutes at a time. He just wanted outside, but we couldnt let him out bc he was blind! He even bit my husband and I, which he has never done.

We got him to the emergency vet. She was so cold. The vet uggested taking blood (required sedation) to check for further kidney failure and then medication / shots every day. We were worried that he wouldnt be able to handle the shots (he hates shots) and the sedation might make things worse. She said cats do okay blind. But he had already fallen from some furniture before. We were scared to leave him alone while at work. She said only other option was to put him to sleep. I asked her what she would do and she said it is entirely up to us.

We hesitantly decided it was best to let him go. We didnt want him to suffer and he was already so scared. But the whole sedation and putting him to sleep was so traumatic for me. Even more for him. He even fought so hard while getting his temp taken. He had never done that before. I could even hold him and clip is claws with no issues. He was a completely different cat

We have been torn up every since. I cry every day.

I don't know if we made the right decision. Please tell me I am not a bad person.

Cover up ir remove?

I got this tattoo when I was 18, almost 20 years ago. I either want to cover it or remove it. What would the process look like (or what can I expect) for either? Any suggestions for designs? I dont have a specific style in mind. This is my only tattoo.

Located in Germany.
