Hello - when restoring old rusty files (really rusty beauties that I found at yard sales 😊) do you oil them between vinegar soaks?
And when brushing / scraping/ using sandpaper, what direction? I’m worried about damaging the file, dulling it if that’s even possible

My mother has dementia, it is getting increasingly difficult for her to find the knobs to turn off the bathroom and kitchen faucets. I need a way to prevent the kitchen sink from overflowing. Is there a way to regulate the water flow? Are there any gadgets out there that can stop the water flow automatically? Like after the water reaches a certain level or has been on for a certain amount of time?
It’s a double sink, she usually has a dish basin in one side. I’m open to any practical suggestions.
