got the engines working(apparently you actually need keys not buttons for the starter) but it is just slipping like this as soon as it reaches 14 rps. why is that? if i set the gearing any higher it doesnt reach 14.

why does my engine just die for no reason. it sounds like this but there is nothing wrong and its stops powering the wheels. the rps also does not increase with throttle at all. are the modular engines less buggy why is it always like this?

how do i deal with radiation in kerbalism?

i give my pods maximum sheilding and point my ship away from the sun but no matter what my kerbals keep dying when im between planets. i never manage to make it home with an alive crew.
