Anger Over To Go Box Charge

In my late teens and early 20s I worked as a waitress/server at a small diner that had multiple locations in my city. Most people ate in but occasionally people would place orders for pick-up over the phone or come in and place to go orders. One late morning, a woman came in and ordered eight meals for herself and her co-workers. I went over to man the cash register. I rung up the meals which automatically added a 25 cent charge for each of the eight boxes. That added an additional $2 to the total. The woman looked at the total and instantly became angry. She demanded to know why there was an extra $2 charge.

During this time I had a close relative in the hospital so my nerves and patience were already tightrope walking. However, I remained polite and explained that the extra charge was for the to go boxes. The woman replied that that was ridiculous and she wasn't going to pay it! I then politely informed her that the charge was automatic and set by the owner. She went off on me and demanded to speak with a manager. I was seething but remained quiet as my manager was the short order fry cook and literally heard everything. Without turning away from the grill she confirmed sternly that each container was 25 cent.

The woman continued to go off. My manager packed the food and the woman snatched the bags from me. She had an abundance of lips on her face in which she made look longer by poking them out as she was going off on us. As she left out I exploded in anger and called her some unflattering names. My manager's favorites were, "duck mouth heffa" and "infinity lips" 😮‍💨. It wasn't a good day for me...

Not So Magical Bus pt. 2

Hi y'all, I'm back with another story from my time working at a very popular theme park in Florida. A magical rat planet of sorts. A few days ago I wrote about an issue related to the college program bus system back then in part 1. You can read it here... https://www.reddit.com/r/EntitledPeople/s/CmCF7KroD8. Today, I will discuss the most serious issues that happened on the C bus to the park I worked at. As I stated in part 1, the park I worked features a world showcase of 11 nations. Magical Rat Planet wanted authenticity so they hired a lot of international college students to work at their respective, nation's pavilions.

This made the C bus extremely crowded and filled with a lot of problems. The park I worked at closed at 9:00 p.m on most days and had extended hours to 11:00 p.m on special occasions. I usually worked closing shifts as that was my preference for multiple reasons. Just like early mornings, the buses were filled to the brim at closing. Most people were getting off of work like myself but about 1/3 of the students were leaving the park from playing as we received free admission. At the pickup people would jump in front of one another. They would shove others out of the way to try and get on first for a seat. To describe the scene, look up a video of people running crazy during a Black Friday sale. I'm not exaggerating when I say they literally shoved, pushed and sometimes became wedged in the doors.

The bus drivers would just sit there like mannequins. They didn't demand order. Myself and a few other mature people just let the people fight while we waited 30 minutes for another bus. Even then, I had people try and jump in front of me to enter on first. Some people laid across seats to save them for their friends. One day, the crowd was pushing and shoving as usual when I heard muffled "thump" followed by wailing and a small, "help me!" I literally had to shove people out of the way to follow the crying. Wedged up against the side of the bus was a small young woman. I'm 5'2" and she literally came to my shoulders standing up. I yelled so loudly for everyone to stop! Most did as I helped the young woman on the bus.

I later found out that she had a fractured arm and a concussion. Yes, it led to one of two lawsuits concerning bus injuries I'm aware of. The lawsuits were handled quickly and quietly. On another occasion a co-worker of mine was on crutches. Once again they pinned her against the bus. I had to intervene again by yelling and even threatening a few people who still tried to push us as I was assisting her onto the bus. They started calling me "the crazy black girl." I was crazy but they were acting like wild animals. Eventually, due to the two injuries they installed a chain queue and instructed the bus drivers not to let anyone board unless they lined up. Yes, people still attempted to skip the line or jump in front of others but the bus drivers started intervening.

At some point they started sending two buses, which made the situation slightly better though people still shoved. Again, some of them weren't even workers but students playing in the parks. This situation mixed with the one I wrote about in part 1 had me losing it mentally and emotionally. Something that was supposed to be helpful and simple became so stressful and dangerous. Yahweh heard my prayers because I suddenly started getting offers for rides from co-workers and friends. I didn't have to ride the bus for months at a time. I always said, if I went back I would have taken a car.

"He Talks to Everyone That Way..."

In my late teens and early 20s I worked as a waitress/server for a small local diner that had more than one location in my city. Unfortunately, the diners no longer exist but at the time they served 24 hour breakfast and steak meals with refillable coffee. Usually, we had two to three waitresses along with a short order fry cook. Sometimes, the fry cook was the manager or assistant manager. I was a pretty good waitress and could take in multiple orders by memory well. One day, a middle-aged couple came in and sat at a front booth.

I had their table and walked over with water, menus and my little pad tucked in my apron. I greeted the couple politely and instantly the wife was polite but her husband was not. I asked what beverage did they want to start. The woman with a smile asked for juice but her husband didn't even look at me before saying, "coffee!" rudely. I filled their drink order giving them time to look at the menus. As I returned I took the wife's food order. She again was very kind and polite. I got to the husband and I'll never forget how he talked to me...

Me: And for you sir?

Man: I want a three egg special. I want my eggs over hard! Not scrambled, not over soft, NOT over medium. Over hard!

Me: Okay, got it.

Man: I want my hash browns well done! NOT medium, NOT light, WELL, Understand!?

Me growing frustrated but remaining polite: Got it.

Man: I WANT wheat toast! I want it lightly toasted! Not dark, not medium! LIGHTLY TOASTED!!!

Me:🤨 Sir, do you think I'm stupid?

The man just stared at me surprised.

Wife: Oh, don't mind him...He talks to everyone that way.

Me: Wow...

I wrote and repeated his order back just as he said it and walked away. I made sure to reiterate his order as he said it to my manager/fry cook. She made it perfectly and they left us a decent tip.

Not So Magical Bus pt.1

Hi y'all, I'm back with another story from my time working at a very popular theme park in Florida. A magical rat planet of sorts. I'm going to break this into two parts so it won't get too long. Also, each experience involved the same bus but different situations that had me losing my mind...I mean that in a literal sense. This happened when I worked attractions. The park I worked at has a world showcase featuring 11 countries that have their own little restaurants and shops. Most of the workers there, at least at that time were international college programmers from the actual countries represented. These student workers had their own apartment complex where they could mingle and catch the C bus to work.

The C bus would pick up the international workers first though the bus stop was stationed at the apartment complex I lived in. I also used the C bus as I worked on the other side of the same park. This was okay until the weekend. Weekends were extra busy requiring more staff. Due to this, multiple times the C buses arrived at my apartment and other complexes too full to accept anyone else. It always went to the international student complex first. Up to four buses would be packed to the brim leaving the rest of us without a way to work. I started going out two hours early and still ended up late to work.

I asked why they couldn't allow us on first since the bus was literally at our apartment. The bus operators and manager said they were instructed to pick up the world showcase workers first. Each bus came 30 minutes apart so two hours early still wasn't enough. Myself and others started getting reprimanded at work for being late. On multiple occasions I had to split a taxi with random workers or pay gas money to a student that had a car and was going that way. Our checks were already microscopic so I became broke quickly. The stress started building as this happened every weekend, especially during peak seasons. I asked why they couldn't send two buses at a time? No answer.

One of my managers said I had been late too many times and was getting a disciplinary mark on my record. I refused to sign the form as I and others had explained multiple times that we had no way there. I asked if they could move my time down and they said no. I asked if they could move me from some weekends and they said, of course not. I asked what they wanted me to do? I was pretty much told it was a personal problem. My manager said the bus manager would have to send an email stating the issue with the C bus to remove the disciplinary mark. I went and asked the bus manager. She said my work manager would have to send an email first. I went back to work and relayed the message. My manager said they needed the bus manager to send the first email. I went back and told this to the bus manager who replied my manager needed to send an email requesting an email about the C bus issue.

I think y'all can understand why I started literally losing my mind. One Sunday four buses passed us by and I literally had a breakdown. I just started crying at the bus stop in front of the bus manager. She told me to calm down and instructed the D bus driver to take us to work. Eventually, I was moved back to nights. This situation and a even more serious one involving the C bus almost made me quit and head back home.

He Threatened Me!

I just found this subreddit and decided to reshare this story here. In my late teens and early 20s I worked as a waitress/server. I worked at an old fashioned local diner in my city. The job was fun and the diner was really cute and had multiple locations. It had a bar area and jukebox. We sold breakfast and lunch items and stayed open 24/7. I worked the day shift with the manager and usually one other waitress. The manager doubled as the Short order fry cook. We had a few regulars that came in on certain days at the same time. They were old guys that shamelessly hit on us and made crude jokes.

One day around two hours before my shift ended a tall gentlemen walked in and took a seat at the bar area. I greeted him, gave him a cup of water and set a menu before him which was customary. I told him to call me over whenever he was ready to order. He said nothing and just stared at me smiling. I asked if he had heard me. Still nothing, just staring and smiling at me. I walked away and his eyes followed me everywhere. He hadn't touched the water or opened the menu. I approached him again and asked did he want to order anything. He just smiled and told me his name was Anthony. I said, "Okay Anthony, are you going to order anything?" Because frankly his staring and smiling was making me uncomfortable. He stood up and said to me, "I'm going to marry you" and walked out. It was a wtf moment but the last hour and a half of my shift picked up and I kinda forgot about it.

On my next shift Anthony showed up again and sat on the same stool. I brought him another cup of water but didn't bother with the menu. He started his creepy staring and smiling again. I asked was he going to order something or just stare. He just kept staring at me and smiling creepily. I told my manager that he was creeping me out and she told him if he wasn't going to order he needed to leave. He got up and walked to the door. Before exiting he told me, "You're going to be my wife." I went on with my shift but felt weirded out. The next day Anthony showed up but didn't come in. As I was sweeping the dining area I noticed him staring at me through the windows in the double doors. When our eyes met he smiled and ran off. I won't lie, I was pretty nervous. After that, I had two days off and put it out of my mind.

On my next shift it was early and the old guys were there with their normal inappropriate conversations. This was during the time when Kayne dropped Gold Digger and surprisingly they knew the song. Anthony walked in and took his normal seat at the bar. I ignored him and filled the coffee cups of the old guys. As I was doing this they started joking that a girl like me was the type of woman mentioned in Kayne's song. That I would never date a broke man and that I looked high maintenance. Well this angered Anthony because he suddenly slammed hard on the counter and screamed at me that I was a money hungry B*tch! He said he hated B*tches like me. Everyone was quiet and still. You could hear a pin drop. My heart was racing. I screamed for him to get out now! He stormed to the door and screamed back, "B*tch I'm going to kill you!" before running out the door.

Well little 19 year old me was literally shaking like a leaf in the wind. My heart was pounding and I couldn't concentrate or think. My manager told me to go take a breather in the storage room. I did and called the none emergency police number. I spoke to a kind lady cop who took my statement and Anthony's description down. They sent a cop to look for him but he was gone. I told my family what happened and every day a different relative sat up at my job, ate breakfast or lunch until I got off of work. It was really sweet and I felt a lot safer with them there. About two weeks after the incident the lady cop called me and told me Anthony had been arrested on drug charges. He fit the description I had given them and surprisingly, he had given me his real first name so they knew it was the same guy. He also confessed to stalking and threatening me. She said I no longer needed to worry as he was going away for a while. I thanked her for calling me.

Fast forward a few years later. I still worked at the diner part-time between college classes. I was sweeping the dining area when Anthony walked in. For a minute my heart stopped. The same fear I felt at 19 creeped back in and I couldn't make my legs or mouth move. To my surprise he instantly apologized to me. He said he was really sorry about how he acted back then and that he was high on drugs and really messed up. He hoped I could forgive him. I was pleasantly surprised. I told him he was forgiven. I never saw him again. Unfortunately, all the diners closed down. The last one during the pandemic.

She Awakened Screaming!

Hi y'all, I'm back with another story from my time working at a very popular theme park in Florida. A magical rat planet of sorts. This is another roommate story. I did multiple college programs at Magical Rat Planet when I wasn't doing seasonal work. My second program I met a young woman in line who asked if I wanted to be her roommate. She seemed nice so I agreed after we shared a short conversation about where we hailed from and what we were looking forward to. I'll call her Jay. Jay and I chose "The Party Place" apartment complex as it was the cheapest and most convenient for carless programmers.

We moved into a bottom apartment with three bedrooms, which meant there were six of us in total. Everyone was cool and I instantly connected with a young woman I'll call KB. Jay seemed fine until a few irregularities started. One thing that drove us crazy was Jay's refusal to wash her dishes. She would literally cook and eat and just leave her crap for us to clean. I asked her did she clean at home and she told us her mom cleaned up behind her. We were in our 20s y'all 😩. She literally wouldn't wash anything and we had to do it.

Also, every once and a while at around 1 a.m Jay would sit up in bed, scream loudly, stare into the darkness for a few seconds and drop back down asleep! Scared me to death! Jay had a boyfriend that clearly didn't like her much. He visited from their state and immediately judged her physical appearance and weight. She wasn't big at all. He wasn't much to look at himself so I don't understand where he got the nerve. Jay wasn't my worse roommate but she certainly was my strangest one. She expected us to clean behind her like her mom. Honestly, I think she had some undiagnosed issues.

Name of Actor?

I'm watching this short drama on YouTube and this guy is stunning. I haven't seen him in any other short drama yet and I've watched sooo many! What's his name? He's beautiful ❤️.

Does Anyone Know His Name?

I'm watching this vertical cdrama on YouTube and the ML is so adorable and cute. Does anyone know his name and the name of the cdrama? I will post the link so others can watch. Just a warning, it has English AI dub and the FL has an incredibly annoying vocal fry voice. Other than that, it's a good story. https://youtu.be/hPqfreINKbk?is=gzuiaJ1QnlhhZBkK

Standoff At The Extended Stay

I want to preface this by saying I shared this story a year ago on the True Scary Stories subreddit. However, people who purposely inconvenience others as the people did in this situation are definitely entitled.

So, about ten years ago my family and I were living in an extended stay hotel until we found an affordable home to move in to. We had been there a while and had made quite a few friends. We learned that some people had lived there for over 10 years! One morning my mom and I were relaxing in our night clothes while watching TV. We heard quite a bit of commotion coming from the hallway but ignored it because loud noise there was common. Around 10:45 someone knocked loudly on our door. They identified themselves as The Police.

My mom and I were taken aback. Every door had a peep hole so we cautiously looked through it and sure enough a handsome policeman stood in the hallway. We opened the door just a bit. He informed us that there was a situation happening in the hotel and that we would need to evacuate immediately! We told him we needed to get dressed and he urged us to hurry. We asked what was happening but he wouldn't tell us any details. We quickly dressed, threw on our everyday wigs, grabbed our purses and headed out. Everyone was fleeing the hotel in groups, some people driving away. It was chaotic and we were nervous and afraid. There were A LOT of cops outside, many cop cars lined up.

We asked others if they knew what was happening. We got different stories. Some said a possible bomb threat, while others said someone was holding someone hostage in one of the rooms. We all headed down the street to another hotel and stood outside as tactical units and news crews showed up to the scene. We were worried as the hours ticked on and nothing was changing. We had no where to go, we were getting hungry and whatever was happening wasn't resolving itself. After hour 5 of standing outside a nice hotel neighbor drove me to McDonald's around the corner for food while my mom contacted one of my cousins who was at work.

After hour 7 my dad was back and the situation was still unchanged as many of us were still outside. Some people went to other hotels, while others slept in their cars. It was chilly out so a large bus arrived so people could sit and warm up. My cousin left work and picked us up. She took us shopping for overnight supplies as we weren't allowed back into the hotel for needed items. We slept over at her house and found out later via the news that a young man and woman with outstanding warrants for robbery and drug possession had been taken into custody after a 12-hour standoff with police. Apparently, they had barricaded themselves in their room and refused to come out for 12 hours!

They said when they finally coaxed them out they came out peacefully. That's great and all but they scared the crap out of the rest of us and inconvenienced everyone greatly. One man had just went grocery shopping and all of his food spoiled because he couldn't put it away in the fridge. Some people didn't have family to stay with or a car or money for another hotel. They were just stuck waiting the 12 hours. Another man needed to get to work and was taken there via police car. That was a crazy and scary situation because we didn't know what was happening. I'm glad it all ended well and I'm grateful for my hotel neighbors and cousin.

Argument Over Meatballs

Hi, I'm back with another tale from my time working at a very popular theme park in Florida. A magical rat planet of sorts. This situation was honestly really stupid but was just as annoying. This happened when I worked in hotels in quick service food. I was in my favorite area "pizza back" when I heard "pizza front" getting loud and upset. The guy was literally 70 years old and had a thick Spanish accent that became thicker when flustered or angry. I came around the corner to see what the issue was.

A lady was standing there with her little boy demanding to speak with someone else about a change to her kid's meal. Kid's meals at pizza came with a small pizza or small platter of fettuccine noodles with marinara or alfredo sauce, a large meatball, two additional sides and small drink. Adult combo meals came with large platters with two large meatballs, two bread sticks, a dessert and drink. They could also get a personal pan pizza or baked ziti instead of fettuccine. Kid's meals were around $8 and adult meals $17 then. They're probably waaay more now.

By it being quick service only a few items could be swapped out, such as certain side items. The woman wanted a kids meal with two meatballs lol. She was demanding that. The meatballs were massive in size and were meant to be broken up over the pasta. She was informed that there wasn't a way to purchase an extra and she would have to buy a second adult meal. She said her son couldn't eat that much pasta and wanted the kid's sides but extra meat. We explained that on the register there literally wasn't a way to ring it up. This was factual and a rule set by the head chef and general manager. Why? I don't know but two meatballs came with the adult meal only and couldn't be substituted or bought separately.

The woman was furious even after I offered her other options. She said she didn't care and made it clear she wanted what she wanted. Her kid was sensible and would have chosen another meal but mom insisted on two meatballs. Eventually, she demanded a manager. The manager "Esther" that hated me the most was the only one available. I've written about her before here. https://www.reddit.com/r/EntitledPeople/s/zkRjoRvoR4

She came over and listened to the woman go on about her wants. Esther explained that there wasn't a way to ring up the meatball but she would allow it just this once and have the cashier ring up a bread stick which was $1.50. Way cheaper than a meatball the size of a hand. The head chef wasn't happy when he found out from the cashier who snitched as that was strictly forbidden. I was just glad the stupid situation was over. I felt like they should have implemented an "extra meatball" price button lol. Wouldn't that have made the most sense?

Magical Lunch Thief

Hi y'all, I'm back with another story from my time working at a very popular theme park in Florida. A magical rat planet of sorts. This situation happened at my last job at Magical Rat Planet. I was a cast member at a chain of restaurants. Due to me having an autoimmune disease that attacks the lining of my stomach I eat a special diet. Basically, I try and stay away from gluten, sugar; natural and processed, and most oils as those foods cause extreme gastrointestinal pain and bloating. I also have GERD. I purposely purchased rather expensive safe foods from Publix and Walmart to food prep with.

They had a couple of industrial refrigerators in the break room where I would store my lunches. I often made things such as pasta with spinach and cheese or chicken and rice with sauteed vegetables. I have an education and background in culinary arts so I'm a proficient cook. Everything was fine for a few months until one day I went to get my lunch box and found that someone had eaten my pasta! Left nothing behind and returned the gladware to my lunch box in the fridge with a plastic fork inside. I was so upset as I was broke that week and couldn't buy an expensive gluten free option lunch from the kitchen.

Begrudgingly, I asked one of the managers who kindly gave me a free gluten free cheese burger. This free burger apparently upset one of the coordinators who didn't like me. I prepared another week of food and it was stolen two more times! I had to buy lunch after getting paid and the coordinator said I needed to stop being difficult during lunch though I explained someone was stealing my food. I believe she thought I was lying for free or discounted food. As I was preparing the next week of lunches I had many considerations. First, I wanted to purchase a lunchbox with a lock and secondly, I wondered if the person stealing was just hungry.

I, myself have been homeless twice in the past and Ive experienced food insecurity multiple times throughout life. I was aware that many of the college students working there were struggling financially. I made a decision and packed two portions of the lunch with a note that basically said to please just take one and leave the other for me. It happened once more and then stopped. I still purchased a locking lunch bag when I could afford it.

I always wondered if the person was just entitled and selfish and enjoyed stealing food as they stopped when I actually gave them the food or were they desperate and thought, "That girl is on the thicker side. She can miss a few meals!"? The coordinator was still salty when I couldn't find gluten free buns one week in stock at the store and asked a manager for one instead of her. I got it for free lol. She said that next time not to go over her. I never found out who the theif was or why that particular coordinator disliked me.

Argument Over Food Voucher

Hi y'all, I'm back with another story from my time working at a very popular theme park. A magical rat planet of sorts. This situation happened at my last job there. I worked quick service at a chain of restaurants. The restaurants were separated into two areas. Pizza and Burger were one area as they were the busiest and Ice Cream, Bakery, Sausage & Sandwich Shop and a few others were the other area. Each area required its own training. Why everyone wasn't trained in both areas? Or why weren't all the restaurants considered one thing? I don't know. I was trained in the area with the most restaurants.

During the spring we had a lot of school groups come in. Some of the children had food vouchers. Each voucher provided a main, two side dishes, a dessert, something to drink and a snack. This was well understood and taught. For some reason, head management decided to merge both areas as Pizza and Burger needed more help. However, they DID NOT train or retrain any of us in the other area! They just stuck us there and literally said, "watch what this person does and copy it, okay bye!" It literally took two weeks to train in each area so dropping people off and telling them they would be aight was so erroneous.

One day a very rude, older cast member joined me as cashier 2 in Bakery. I was Coffee Maker and behind the counter. Coffee Maker was also responsible for handing guest premade sandwiches and pastries that were behind the refrigerated display case. The drinks and chips were out for guest to grab before heading to cashier. A group of students came by, each deciding which restaurant they wanted to eat at. An adorable young woman came in to use her voucher there. She picked a sandwich with chips, a water, a cupcake, and another bag of chips for a snack. This is where the issue began. The rude cast member told her she would have to pay for the extra chip bag.

I corrected her politely and explained that each voucher came with an additional snack. The young woman also confirmed she had been allowed a snack each time. Matter of fact, the voucher said in small writing on the back everything that it covered. That rude sow became red in the face and argued loudly with me and the child. She stood ten toes down in her ignorance and demanded the kid pay for the extra chips. I told her she hadn't been in this area so perhaps she needed retraining.

This set her off as she yelled she was a cast member for 10 years! I eventually called a coordinator. He was a dude that was so chill he seemed robotic. He told her I was indeed correct and told us to just get along. She refused to apologize or admit her mistake and just kept a funky attitude. She was gross as well, always taking her shoes off under the register fragrancing the place with her feet scent. She was insufferable on multiple occasions.
