What was the most out of character moment for you in Shameless?

What was the most out of character moment for you in Shameless?

For me, it was Veronica calling ICE on her immigrant wife and then using her child as a bargaining chip 😑 You're telling me that a Black woman who grew up poor, who cared so much about her neighborhood and about people not losing their homes, would call ICE on her ex just because she was angry? It felt completely out of character to me.

I had to install the old version of pentablet cause the new update doesn't have calibration on it

I don't know what the heck they were thinking by removing calibration. It was the dumbest decision xppen has ever made. Without calibration my pen was all over the place. I had to zoom in a lot. I'm NEVER updating again till they bring calibration back.

The way the show mistreated characters who were gone is frustrating

Sometimes I feel like Shameless thinks the viewers have amnesia. I think this topic has been talked about a lot, but I just can't stop myself: the way the show mistreated characters who were gone is frustrating.

The minute a character is off-screen, everyone collectively forgets they ever existed. I’ve seen people saying "this is what happens in real life," but Shameless is a story, not real life.

Fiona: It makes me angry that she wasn't at Ian’s wedding, especially since she literally begged Debbie to be in her wedding, meaning these things matter to her. I understand the actress wasn't available, but at least include a reference! A letter, a gift, a phone call! there were a thousand ways to say she was there. And don't even get me started on the disrespect of not including her in Frank’s final speech. She was arguably the most important character in the show.

Mickey (in the middle seasons):This makes me so sad because we saw Ian go through hell in the first five seasons to get Mickey to admit his love. Then, Ian is suddenly okay with him rotting in prison? The excuse that he "didn't want to see him behind the glass" was the lamest thing ever. It makes Ian look like an asshole who abandoned the boyfriend who took care of him during his worst bipolar episodes. Moving on should take seasons, not one episode.

Mandy: Not attending or even being mentioned at the wedding is a huge problem. She was the first person Ian came out to willingly, she was his best friend, and she is the groom's sister! Not even a mention of a gift or a visit off-screen? It’s a total disappointment.

Trevor: This might be controversial because I don't even like him but he was in every one of Ian's scenes in Season 8 and didn't even get a mention in the season recap. That’s just disrespectful writing.

The writers just want us to forget things happened. In Season 11, Ian tells Mickey about Debbie, "You're so far up her ass you think you've been fucking her for the last ten years," which implies he always had Mickey in mind. While it's sweet, it feels like the writers are just pretending Caleb and Trevor never happened. Because they erase these characters, Ian and Mickey never actually talk about the major issues from those middle seasons.

When you erase a character, you erase a part of the identity of everyone who was involved with them. Over time, the characters become one dimensional because their history is ignored. Shameless did a terrible job with this compared to other shows that keep the memory of departed characters alive.

I was watching "How to get away with murder" and guess who was a crazy girl in this one too

The actress is amazing though but at this point I feel like she is getting type cast.
