Do you think Fiona behavior towards Debbie when she had Franny was valid or did you disagree with her?

I personally agree and thought her reaction and behavior was valid, Debbie was being so selfish and she wasn't a good mother to Franny. In the end Fiona was right. But I do feel for Debbie, she was a teenager who is so love deprived that I get why she thought having a child would help her with her loneliness.

Why Jimmy-Steve or wtv the fuck his name is

Super curious why out of every love interest Fiona has, majority LOVES jimmy.

Been a while since I watched the phase of Fiona and Jimmy but I never really understood the hype… I mean he lied to her, insulted Fiona’s living conditions and her family, I mean Fiona herself said that if she had stayed with him her life would be a ‘nonstop, psycho, thriller’

And I see how Fiona really loved him, she had her highest moments in life with Jimmy, but she experienced her lowest every time he leaves..

So far with the seasons I watched, Mike was her best one but she self-sabotaged herself 💀 Next in my ranking is probably Sean, so supportive and if I’m not wrong, the only one Fiona never cheated on, the show just had to make him an addict for the plot 🥲

capitalist fiona in s7 🫩🫩

forgot how bad she was in season 7 with all this “don’t hit me up as your emergency contact” “pay your way in this house or get out” like girl come on 😭😭. i know she goes full capitalist when she owns the apartments but i thought i had one more season before fiona’s character assassination 🥲. she’s so unbearable in her last seasons and whilst she has every reason to be selfish (she’s given up sooo much for her family without being asked to), this is exactly why the judge asked her if she was sure she’d be okay being a guardian; the itch to make a name for yourself was always going to throb, it was always about was she willing to put her family first the way she was supposed to as a guardian? before s6 she was but after that? yeah i really don’t remember her being this like this during my first watch

this phase was hurtful to watch.. i literally balled my eyes out

Watching Fiona's arc is so frustrating because the second she starts messing up, everyone suddenly forgets she spent her entire childhood raising them.

Like damn, give the girl a break.

She was paying bills, keeping the lights on, feeding everyone, dealing with Frank's bullshit, and basically acting as a parent since she was a kid herself. Then when she finally starts spiraling after years of carrying that weight, Lip and Debbie act like she's some horrible person.

Not saying Fiona was perfect. She made some terrible decisions. But the amount of grace everyone else in that family gets compared to her is insane.

Honestly, I was glad she left. Staying in that house would've just been the same cycle forever. She deserved a chance to put herself first for once and see what life looked like outside of being everyone's caretaker.

When Fiona went to jail, she obviously lost her job but they said it was for misconduct? How?

She returns to the cup office to ask if they'd change the reason she got fired from misconduct to downsizing. But I don't understand how it would've been misconduct. You cant fire someone for cheating on you. She went to jail so I assume she no called no showed, but I've never worked in an office so idk if that counts lol

Do you feel like any side storyline could be further developped?

For instance, Jimmy business partner Angela - and their stories - obviously could have a much better storyline.

Why did they make Debbie so harsh?

I’m talking about older Debbie when she wouldn’t give Liam a key! Or when she was hogging the money and claimed to be budgeting? Also, when she cheated on Neal and kicked her his sister and nephew!

I give her a lot of grace, because for some stuff Debbie was extremely desperate for attention. And yes, we do need attention. She was also a kid. Later she’s just an asshole.

What happened to Sierra? Question

She was a gently interesting character. Could have had a better write off than just disappearing between the seasons. I think she was great for Lip too, much better than

Which character deserved a much better ending?

After finishing the final season, some endings left me disappointed. Who do you think got the worst sendoff? How would you rewrite it?

I don’t think it’s talked about enough how scary her ending was.

Bob Sagat had me on the floor!

I was young during "Full House" and "America's Funniest Home Videos" when Bob Sagat was popular among the young and family crowd. I had no idea that he really was a dirty filthy stand up comedian until later in life. And this scene with him, I could not stop laughing. With the framing of the dildo in front of him as he's telling this ridiculous story that just keeps getting more hilarious the more he goes. And this who Bob Sagat was doing what he does best, just filthy hilarity. 4 years before he died.

On a separate note the AI bot wouldn't let me post this saying "off-topic", so I had to put the word Shameless in here somewhere even though it clearly is.

2nd edit : Some of you don't seem to get why this is relevant to "Shameless" as the AI bot did. This is season 9, episode 6. Why is this not relevant to this group?

What was the most out of character moment for you in Shameless?

For me, it was Veronica calling ICE on her immigrant wife and then using her child as a bargaining chip 😑 You're telling me that a Black woman who grew up poor, who cared so much about her neighborhood and about people not losing their homes, would call ICE on her ex just because she was angry? It felt completely out of character to me.

I would never survive living with Frank for one day

Between his endless scams, heavy drinking and constant trouble, staying under the same roof as Frank sounds exhausting. Who agrees?

Season 5 - Fiona and Gus’s Relationship

Did Fiona actually love Gus? She genuinely seemed really happy with him to the point she married him and she still slept with Jimmy-Steve.. I don’t fully understand why she would let Gus go. She wasn’t this happy with Mike and that seemed like a healthier relationship compared to with Gus
