I recently rewatched Martyrs and at the start of the flaying, Anna’s face is severely bruised, likely broken bones and is entirely swollen. When she slips into the transcendent state her face is looking a lot more healed, less bruising and swelling has gone down. How could she still be alive long enough for her face to heal that much?
As we know, this job has a very high turnover rate. And i tell you what, it absolutely makes sense to me. The first month and a half was the most stressful, depressing, draining time of my life. And i dont mean just any stress or sadness. I mean I straight up thought about going back to a mental health facility, and since this job I’ve had to go back to therapy and back on medication. Anyway I bring this up because I wanted to talk about how accomplished I feel right now. Don’t get me wrong, i still struggle pairing with certain patients, i make so many mistakes, i clearly still have a ton of learning to do. But im just so happy i stuck it out. The beginning of this job is an absolute nightmare and i understand every single person who quits early on. This job isnt for everybody, and thats absolutely okay. The truth is, i wanted this job to be right for me. I did not know I would last this long. I’m just feeling really happy i got through the beginning.
And just to clarify, this job is NOT easy and I’d never pass judgement on someone quitting. I still have bad days, even bad weeks. But things are finally bright enough that i show up every day. I finally dont wake up immediately having a panic attack every morning. I’m finally able to sleep just a bit better and eating more. I didn’t think id get through it. That’s all. I’m not saying i understand their stories, but as someone thats had the urge to do that (ever since i learned it was an option) i definitely understand snapping so hard that you’d wanna do that in public. Does anyone else feel like this?
I work so hard during my admin time- cleaning, disinfecting, provide bathroom breaks, huge piles of dishes, sweeping, supply restocking or counting. It never gets noticed. Other RBTs at my center (if youre a favorite) get so much recognition and when i do anything without someone having to ask nobody ever notices. Does anyone else go through that and struggle with being okay with it? The only reason i still try my best during admin time is cause the kids deserve a clean learning environment but i just wish for once a boss would notice
So a patient was taking a nap. At my center you dont start your session until the patient is awake. This was towards the end of the day. I woke up the patient but forgot to start my session. Couldn’t run any programs, I just woke the patient up, took for a diaper change, and then heated a little milk. Should i have started a session anyway? Idk how billing and everything works but ive already screwed up so many times at this job im too scared to ask. Has anyone done this?
