Blood vs. Water in the open era

What do we think the odds of seeing Blood vs. Water return in the open era are?

I’m such a big fan of the format. It introduces such complex and compelling new layers to strategy and we saw it produce two very different results both times, with singles dominating BvW and more than one pair going deep in SJDS. I’m certain there’s even more dynamic outcomes that can come to the surface if we ever see it again.

It always struck me as odd that production loved the format enough to essentially immediately bring it back, only to never do it again after that. I know there’s been speculation that the SJDS cast broke the format by trying to game the Final 3 and select specific representatives from the dominant pairs to make it to the end, but that outcome didn’t play out in practice. Even if it did, surely production can find wats to prevent or disincentivise that moving forward.

I think the format has so much left to offer and I’m really keen to see it again, so I’m hopeful the open era gives it an opportunity to return.

Most Iconic Tribal Council?

A few options off the top of my head are Parv’s double idol play in HvV, the Cambodia final 6 where all votes for Jeremy and Wentworth were negated and (though it’s awful) Advantagegeddon. What else is in the conversation?

Edit: How could I forget the “Jaclyn did you vote for who I told you to vote for?” tribal.

What random Survivor opinion do you feel like getting off your chest?

Mine is that the period spanning Cagayan through Cambodia was something really special and the fan experience will never reach those heights again.
