Hello!

I'm a new dm and will start my first proper campaign in the fall that will go on till around Christmas with weekly sessions.

I know the players well and have been a player with them for about three to four years now. Two of the players are veterans and will help with rules and such so that dosent really stress me that much.

But I have no idea how to prep for this!!! What em I suppose to do? I have a storyline but what kind of notes should I make for myself?

I have been a dm for a small stories so I hardly did eny preps for those but for bigger things were do I even start?

(Edit! Apparently I wasn't clear enough. I want to do this myself and not use a module or a pre maid game. I already have a story, hooks, environment and maps! But how do I translate that to good notes and how do I deside what monster to use against my party and sguff like that!)
