Apparently there’s been an update. An update which deleted all my downloads (gigabytes) then set about redownloading them on my mobile data plan which is now borked for the month.

Hello. Took delivery of a Halot X1 today along with some standard black resin. I have bought if for a specific purpose to print what I think is a simple model
For the life of me it will not stick to the build plate. I have looked at on line resources. Scrubbed the build plate with IPA, set the initial layers to 60 seconds and all I get is in the bottom of the dish a fine layer and on the build plate half set blobs.
I am finding this software not user friendly (Halot box). Is there not a setting for noobs like me? I thought I would download the app. I connected my printer thinking I would find an online model to see if its something to do with my model. Gosh what a terrible app. I could not find a single model that was compatible to `print to Halot x1 even when I filtered by models for resins printers.
Did i get scammed by all the youtubers that got this for free to 'review?'
Hello. I have always 3D printed with FDM, however I have a speaker project where I need to print a wave guide as smooth as possible so resin seems the way to go. I have no idea which brand to use in this area. My budget is 500 to include the wash station. The particular project is 100m x 100mm x 40mm tall. But for future proofing as big as I can get would be great.
I am looking at Halot X1 but note there elegoo and anycubic out there as well.
Any recommendations?
