Put the jalapeno fries on the hot dog

Who in corporate failed to see this one? It should be a menu option.

Jalapeno fries, cheese , and chili. Or a bastardization of the Seattle dog i.e. jalapeno fries, cooked onions, cream cheese on a pretzel bun. Or jalapeno fries, bacon, and boom boom sauce.

Let me unleash the potential of the jalapeno fries since we'll never see our precious poopers again.

Let's talk about speed, baby

Since it's a pretty common homebrew to use base movement + 1d6 to move, let's talk about speed. Who's the fastest? (Monk, in my book). Should the Druid ignore hindering terrain? Is the Warlock faster in Demon Form? Let's hear your thoughts and see those rankings.

My ranking from fastest to slowest:

Monk

Rogue/Explorer

Berserker/Bard

Druid/Barbarian/Elf

Knight

Dwarf/Wizard/Warlock

Weapon Upgrades: Looking for some feedback

I want to expand the equipment available to my heroes and I've looked at a lot of different options available. I really like the Old World Armory and the Power Dice by Forges of Nuln, but it seems very difficult to get a full set currently. Hopefully, they'll become more available in the future, but for now I've resorted to cooking up a few home brew ideas that use the dice from the many expansions (or alternatively, custom sets available on Etsy, Temu, etc.)

Hopefully, these are fairly easy to understand and implement, and, for those with the existing expansions, easily accessible. So here are a few of the ideas, I have been toying with. Feedback is gladly welcomed. Enhancements are represented by a Keyword and the level of enhancement (how many of a specific dice will be rolled.)

Equipment Upgrades

Armor:

  • Hardened: Black Die. (Crypt of Perpetual Darkness) Both Black and White Shields count as success when the hero rolls Defense.

This allows for incremental increases between adding an additional Die. Armor progression could look something like this: 2 Combat Dice; 1 Hardened Die, 1 Regular Combat Die; 2 Hardened Dice; 3 Combat Dice...

Example: The Battle Mage's Robe: 1 Hardened Die, 1 Regular Combat Die

Weapon Enhancements:

  • Venomous: Purple (First Light Dice Set)  When this die results in a Skull, the target must roll a 5 or 6 or be unable to move on their next turn.
  • Keen: Orange Die. (Prophecy of Telor) When this die results in a Skull, an additional regular Combat Die is added to the attack pool.
  • Bruising: Blue Die. (The Frozen Horror) When this die results in a Skull, the defender will roll one less Combat Die for Defense on its next turn. This debuff can stack from multiple sources.
  • Precise: Green Die. (The Spirit Queen’s Torment) When this die results in a any Shield, it may be rerolled once. This reroll is made after other rerolls.

Like the upgrades for armor, these can enhance weapons at various levels. These can also be combined. Enhanced Dice provide a secondary effect while still providing a roll for damage.

Example: Venom's Poison Tongue: Broadsword: Attack (3), Venomous (1), Keen (1).

Like a standard Broadsword, it provides 3 attack. However, one will be Keen Die, one a Venomous Die, and one standard Combat Die.

OR

Example: Ollar's Staff: Attack (1), Bruising (1), Allows a hero to attack diagonally.

This will provide a single attack die in the form of a Bruising Die.

I think the weapon enhancements will also work well in the hands of the enemies, but before I continue developing these ideas I hope to get some feedback. Thanks in advance.
