This shirt is one of my only remembrances from her piece of shit ass. The artwork for DIGIT is one of my earliest memories! Now it’s a 30 yr old relic. Good tidings to all my other industrial music babies!
I was outside periodically all day cutting down some branches for mushroom logs… I thought the birds were going nuts overhead of me because well, every time I’m outside I find a grub or two or three and I lay it right out in the middle of nothing where they can see it and it’s always gone within a few minutes so I thought that’s what was happening. Well, at one point, a robin whooshed passed me inches behind my back. I had seen them and their mate for a while in my garden, I thought maybe they saw one of the star nosed moles (just learned they were back there) in my yard, or a really good worm behind me where I had been weeding or something. Well, I looked up towards the end of my chore just in time to see a freaking Hawk plundering their nest. The entire canopy was going nuts. It wasn’t just the robins, but all of the other resident birds. The hawk took off towards the northwest, and then about 15 minutes later, the same thing happened again. The robins eventually came back and moved about the area perching on the branches here or there or the powerlines chasing off any other bird that came, but I think that hawk got all their babies… I do live near the freeway, but if I’ve never seen anything like this in my backyard.
I officially found firefly larvae in my backyard!! we had a tree cut down and they’re nesting in the stump. I am not going to disturb them any further, so that crappy picture is all you get of them glowing at night!
