Moving with 600+ polishes!

Hey everyone,
I’m going to be moving homes in December 😭

I’m doing a very brutal clear out for everything…except my polishes!
Collecting polishes has been my hobby for over 20 years, and I have a lot of vintages, limited editions and indie polishes from discontinued brands, so getting rid of the polishes is my one non-negotiable.

In my last move a decade ago, I put the polishes into some Ikea blue bags and put them in the car trunk, but is there a better way to transport them safely?

Branch out to SEO or email marketing?

Hi everyone,
I am a self taught SMM and for a while I felt like I had an incomplete skill set/not good at my job (see my previous post.)

Thanks again for the advice in my last post, I’ve taken some time and done some research and come conclusions:

  1. I need to leave my job asap as it has been awful for my mental health, but I can’t afford to just quit so I’ve stepped up on applying for new roles

  2. In the long term, I want to work for myself, either with my own small SMM company or with my YouTube channel. With that in mind, my job search now also includes part time roles so I would have time for the businesses, at this point I’m just letting the universe guide me 🤣

For my freelance work, I want to expand the services I can offer, and take a short certification course in either SEO or email marketing, but I’m not sure which service would be more in demand. I know AI has hit them too, but as far as I know both are still in demand? I’m not sure which is best for me.

Thinking of taking a content creation course?

Hi there, I’m neurodivergent so I’ll try to include as much information as I can, but if you have questions please let me know! Also I’m in the UK.

So, nearly a decade ago I made a career change into social media management.

I took a short online course that covered the basics, and worked my way up to an in-house role, which I’ve been in a few years now.
I’ve been looking for a new job for a while, because there is no way to grow, my team has people for PPC, SEO and videography. The only wiggle room I have is getting some video editing training, which I really really enjoy.
I’ve had a few interviews and the feedback I received was that I did not have ‘all round’ experience in all aspects of SMM, which is frustrating!

Additionally, I’ve had… a rough time with my mental health. I’ve had some medical issues and tried to stay on top of everything, but two years of dealing with those and my manager’s constant unrelenting pressure and negative has messed me up pretty bad, to the point I’m questioning whether I’m any good at anything. When I look at job adverts now I just feel dread.

In the past few years I’ve been interested in content creation, I love editing and filming projects, and recently I’ve started a YouTube channel as a hobby to keep my skills fresh.

I’ve been thinking about my career and progression, it seems like what is holding me back is;

  1. My job, I need to gtfo but I have bills.
  2. I’m basically self-taught so I’ve just learned as I go, leaving big gaps in my knowledge in other areas of the role.

I really want to work in content creation, but I need technical know-how. I think I would benefit from getting some kind of degree or qualification for content creation, but I’ve read on Reddit that you learn the same thing from tutorials. However, right now I’m mentally shattered, I need a schedule and guidance.

I know right now that what I really need is a long holiday with a therapist, but I can’t afford it, my pay is a joke. I need to make a positive change in my life so I can earn more money.

Can someone please give me some direction?
