Title: Persian Oriental Rug 10’ x 13’ for $250

Description: Persian Oriental Rug

The price is insanely low for what looks to be a handmade wool rug. My question is, does this look like it was woven in Iran?

Thank you,

Facebook MP Rug ID/Value

FB MP Title: “handmade Persian Kashan rug made in Iran.”

Description: “Great condition no flaws.”

Dimensions:
77 inches by 117 inches
6.4 feet by 9.75 feet

He is asking $850 for it - seems like a good deal if it is actually woven in Iran. I am curious if it’s an authentic Persian Kashan, how old it may be, and if $850 is a good price for it.

Facebook MP Rug

Hello - I am wondering if this rug I am looking at on FB Marketplace is a genuine Iranian Bijar and if it’s hand knotted. It does look to be hand knotted but I am skeptical that it was actually woven in Iran.

The seller wants $375 for it - is that a fair price?

Sellers Description:

-Medium pile, Excellent condition
- Smoke/ pet- free home.
- 375. Firm/ Cash

Rug ID and Value

Looking for an ID and potential value on this rug I am seeing on FB MP. The sellers description is below. It would fit great in my hallway but I am curious if it is truly a Persian rug (woven in Iran) and what type of damage it has that the seller is noting. Is that moth damage?

Thank you for any help or insight!

Seller Description:

This is a vintage Authentic Persian 100% wool runner 16’3” x 3’4”. Has one area (approx a 4”x4” area) of issue but otherwise in good condition for a rug about 75/80 years old. Rug was aged 40 to 50 years old when originally purchased and was with one UT family for at least another 25 to 30+ years after that.
Rug comes with a nice, thick, carpet pad, too.
Rug comes from a pet free/non smoking home.
Feel free to message with any questions.

Rug ID/Value

I am looking at this rug on Facebook Marketplace. It is listed as a: “Hand Knotted Persian Tabriz Silk Blend Rug.”

The Description is: “Beautiful hand knotted silk blend Persian rug. Originally $3500.00. It is well maintained with full fringes. Measures 47-1/2” x 79” overall.”

From what I can tell this looks to be handmade, but I am skeptical on if it was actually handwoven in Iran and if the rug is genuine silk. Would anyone be able to help? I am suspicious that this is an Indian or Chinese handmade replica and that $600 may be way too much. Especially since it is likely not real silk.

Thank you
