295/70/ with eibach stage 1, wheels are 17x8.5 -10. worried about it not fitting for weeks and then bit the bullet. somewhat aggressive bmc, pinch weld, pushed fender liners forward and trimmed a tiny bit inside the bumper where the liners bolted and no rubbing. can upload better pics but it’s the first day with it currently. putting this out there for anyone who wants more than 285s.
well. i am here to shamefully admit the timing belt job has humbled me. did the belt and water pump, kept hitting a wall when rotating by hand, on the third time i rotated the passenger cam around again (i thought it was out of phase) and put the belt on, tensioner pin out, and everything rotated thru twice and felt great. went about putting the car back together and went to crank, it tried then hit the same wall as before. wont rotate past that point by hand and i tried to crank a few times before i realized the belt wasn’t turning past that point and figured i needed to stop. i’m hoping timing is just off at the cams and i need a real mechanic to come save the day? praying i didnt bend the valves but i think im hands off at this point. i spent 12 nonstop hours rigorously following the youtube tutorial. thoughts or input on this?
i’m having a very confusing leak. When I park a car or let it sit overnight behind the rear driver wheel there will be a small puddle of yellow/amber clear fluid. It’s oily and it’s obvious that it’s coming from this area. I have watched the fluid drip from a tiny hole in the body of the car. I can’t trace it back any further. Pictures attached, brake reservoir doesn’t seem to be losing any fluid, but I’ve only noticed it for about two days.
I am aware there is a sub for this, I’m not active enough to post in it. I have two flights booked for 10 days from now, Mem to Pdx. My first flight has 54 seats available with a d2 (my girlfriend and I are d3)
Not so concerned about that one, my connect in DFW has 16 seats available with a d2t in first class. Should I be worried/does anyone have any advice or recommendations for me? Experiences in this situation? I have one backup that has 18 seats and no nonrevs for dfw or a whole different airport lined up, odds on the backups aren’t much better or convenient. I know about wta.org and have checked alltrails. Is anyone on here able to tell me how the snowpack is this year? I have 3 days planned from june 25th-28th next month and i’m desperately hoping the snow isn’t as bad as the past few years from alltrails and wta. Anyone been there recently? My main higher altitude trail choices are sahale arm and cascade pass, monogram lake, hidden lake lookout, maple pass, and hannegan peak trail. I just want to do one of them at some point. I have no check engine light or any drivability issues, but have this ticking noise that doesn’t change whether or not the car is warmed up and it increases with rpms. Doesn’t sound like exhaust leak and I don’t smell anything. Sounds more metallic like lifters or something timing chain related? Thoughts?
I know this question is beat to death in here, but I can’t find a straightforward answer. Here’s what my dme sent me. i’ve been trying to study the entire asa and jep for general and pp but worried im stretching myself too thin and the questions are just gonna be from my missed codes. please let me know yall
