I usually compete in autosolo which are all forward courses but thought i'd try a autotest which are much tighter, require handbrake turns, reversing in to boxes of cones and stopping between lines. This was during the MG FEST 2026 event at brand's hatch.
My Miata/MX5 is stock except for I.L motorsport backbox, it does have the factory lowering springs.
I am on Eagle F1 asymmetric 6 tires (215's)
The overall win went to my biggest rival in his Toyota MR2 with only a 1.5 second different over 8 runs combined. In third place overall was a 400BHP Golf R estate which was only 4 seconds behind me. Have the outside perspective too but its poor quality recording.
Got to love the ND, its completely stock, except for better brake pads
We did an autosolo demon with paid passenger rides, all proceeds go to a school for young people with physical disabilities and complex medical needs. It was very popular and we had a massive queue of passengers lined up. Great event with a show car display at the same time. This is one of my runs in my unmodified ND

Brakes bite well initially but feel squishy. Can almost get pedal to floor when stationary
